Abstract: In a method for advanced identification of a customer, a customer may remotely place an order, intending to later go to a store to pick up the ordered item. The store may have a pick-up area (e.g., at the back of the store) where the customer can go to pick up the ordered item. To save the customer time, the customer may be identified when she enters the store so that an employee can obtain her ordered item and have it ready to pick up by the time the customer walks through the store and arrives at the pick-up area.

Abstract: A fuel dispenser including a dispenser manager for controlling electronic functions of a fuel dispenser, display, user interface and controller are coupled to the dispenser manager. The controller controls fuel dispensing components of the fuel dispenser coupled to the dispenser manager. A point-of-sale module is associated with the dispenser manager for providing point-of-sale functionalities within the fuel dispenser.

Abstract: A portable lap table to be used by small children for travelling in a vehicle. The lap table includes a kidney shaped board surface, a center support structure, and the center support structure being arched and contoured to fit the user's thighs for comfort and stability. The table's top surface may have various recesses for holding crayons, drinks, and the like, a gutter for containing liquid spills, an outer lip to prevent objects from rolling off the surface, and handles for portability.

Abstract: The swiveling automotive kneeboard has a base, a writing plate, a memo pad clip, and an elastic strap with hook and loop fastening material. The base has a substantially flat, planar top surface and a concave bottom surface reinforced with ribs. The writing plate is flat and planar on both top and bottom surfaces. The writing plate is pivotally attached to the base so that the writing plate may swivel 360.degree. in a plane parallel to the base. A memo pad clip is attached to the writing plate for holding a pad of memo paper. A hook which pivots 360.degree. about an axis parallel to and concentric with its stem is pivotally attached to the end of the memo pad clip, the hook being used to store the kneeboard on the steering wheel when not in use. The strap is used to secure the kneeboard to the user's thigh. The base includes a hinge so that the width of the base may be adjusted to the size of the user's thigh. The kneeboard is made from a lightweight, thermoplastic material.
