  • Patent number: 8826112
Abstract: Methods, computer program products and systems are provided for navigating a display of a table in a computer application that includes enabling a context sensitive action menu, detecting activation of the action menu in the displayed table, and executing a table display control instruction from the context sensitive action menu to reformat and redisplay the table in a collapsed or an expanded format around one or more selected cells of the table. The display instruction indicates which columns, etc. are to be reformatted. Further steps may include populating an array with data from corresponding cells of the table and executing an array display control instruction to display at least a portion of the array on an action menu display panel. Navigation tools provide selection of array elements and reformatting and redisplaying the table in the collapsed or the expanded format around a table cell corresponding to the selected array cell.

  • Publication number: 20100306114
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, apparatus, and computer program code for conducting a transaction between a merchant and a user. Using a composite key generated by a user, a user profile associated with the user and generated by the user is accessed. Accessing is performed by a merchant. The user profile comprises data specifying a set of household items owned by the user. The user profile is one of a set of user profiles that make up a H3D definition. The H3D definition comprises data describing a plurality of household items belonging to the user. The plurality of household items includes the set of household items. Responsive to accessing the user profile, a merchant profile is generated. The merchant profile comprises data specifying a portion of inventory associated with the merchant. The portion of inventory is selected based on the user profile. An offer to sell the portion of inventory is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 7792785
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for translating text into visual imagery content. A request is received to identify at least one image associated with a text value. At least one association category from a plurality of association categories is identified with which to perform a search. A data structure is searched, using the at least one association category, for an identification of the at least one image that is associated with the text value. The at least one image is a visual representation of the text value. At least one image is retrieved in response to identifying at least one image associated with the text value. The at least one image is presented in a graphical user interface to a user.

  • Patent number: 6266703
Abstract: A method and apparatus for notifying an originator when a recipient has accessed an isochronous mail object for a specified duration of time. A Document Relational Service (DRS) is provided that allows the originator to specify relationships of distributions with isochronous objects and other objects. These relationships allow the originator to be notified on an expenditure of time basis when particular combinations of objects have been accessed. The Document Relational Service allows the user to specify time ranges for particular objects in varying combinations. A time service monitors the duration of access time spent on specified objects. Fulfillment of all combinations and time criteria generates the confirmation notice.

  • Patent number: 5359660
Abstract: On a network, access to individual data processing systems is remotely controlled from a host data processing system. A security request is provided at the host data processing system. The security request specifies the target data processing systems, whether those systems are to be locked or unlocked, the peripherals of the specified data processing systems that are affected and a password. The security request is communicated to all data processing systems in communication with the host data processing system. Each data processing system processes the security request to determine if it is a target. If so, then a lock status of a target set of data processing systems is changed in response to the security request. The change in lock status of the target set of data processing systems either facilitates or prohibits use of the target set of data processing systems.
