    Abstract: Kiln furniture for holding and supporting articles of refractory and ceramic flatware in spaced and stacked relationship during kiln firing has upper and lower end units detachably connected by pillars engaging apertures in said upper and lower end units. The points of contact and support between the pillars and the upper and lower end units are formed to prevent the build up of glaze spray and vapor between the engaging portions so as to prevent sticking and adherence of the portions while at the same time providing for a rapid and easy assembly and disassembly of the respective parts which permits repeated reuse of the kiln furniture.
