  • Publication number: 20120304278
Abstract: A device for providing a blended protection scheme for a high assurance communication device includes a reconfigurable firewall and packet inspection device for enforcing isolation and separation between a communication device's CPUs, memory, and the communication device, where the reconfigurable firewall is implemented on an integrated chip or motherboard chipset. The device further includes a protected CPU that is adapted to manage security functions and to reconfigure the reconfigurable firewall. In embodiments, the device is a firewall and virus infection inspection system. In other embodiments the device is a virtual private network for network based communications.

  • Publication number: 20110023106
Abstract: A computing system contains and uses a partitioning microkernel (PMK) or equivalent means for imposing memory partitioning and isolation prior to exposing data to a target operating system or process, and conducts continuing memory management whereby data is validated by security checks before or between sequential processing steps. The PMK may be used in conjunction with an Object Request Broker.

  • Patent number: 7839169
Abstract: The invention in the simplest form is a programmable logic device comprising logic blocks configured substantially in a plane, external I/O endpoints, and embedded switched fabrics which provide non-contentious connection between the logic blocks and between logic blocks and I/O endpoints, the switch fabrics being offset from the plane of the logic blocks. The logic blocks are organized into logic groups, whereby a plurality of primary embedded switch fabrics are configurable for connecting logic blocks within logic groups, and at least one secondary switch fabric provides non-contentious connection between primary switch fabrics. The switch fabrics can employ non-blocking crossbar switches. A hierarchy of secondary switch fabrics can be included for providing non-contentions connection between both primary and other secondary switch fabrics.

  • Patent number: 7733125
Abstract: The invention in the simplest form is a programmable logic device consisting of gate arrays, external I/O endpoints, and an embedded switch fabric configurable for connecting gates to gates, endpoints to endpoints and gates to endpoints. The architecture may employ a fabric interface of non-blocking crossbar switches for making complex bus connections of multiple devices to facilitate high speed processing.

  • Patent number: 7490350
Abstract: System and techniques for protecting wireless communication systems from blended electronic attacks that may combine wireless and computer attacks. One embodiment is an integrated hardware and software firewall/protection system that provides a protection scheme that may include an additional functional processing layer between the hardware firewall and a mobile terminal. This additional functional processing layer performs an extra layer of communications and security processing, including such features as management of Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) functions, key generation for firewall and virtual private network (VPN) functions, and packet inspection and filtering.
