  • Patent number: 10560844
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system includes a processing circuit and logic integrated with the processing circuit, executable by the processing circuit, or integrated with and executable by the processing circuit. The logic is configured to cause the processing circuit to limit functionality of a remote controlled device during periods of time that a user of the remote controlled device is not authenticated, and to receive identity information of the user of the remote controlled device via an authentication process, with the identity information establishing an identity of the user. Also, the logic is configured to cause the processing circuit to authenticate the user prior to allowing full functionality of the remote controlled device, send an indication of the identity of the user to the remote controlled device, and provide full functionality of the remote controlled device to the user in response to successfully authenticating the user.

  • Publication number: 20190378599
Abstract: A method for implementing a secure system to prevent adverse drug interactions and repeat prescriptions, for a patient, in a multi-party computing environment. The method includes receiving a patient identifier from a provider, authenticating an access by the provider, and retrieving a second patient identifier, wherein the second patient identifier corresponds to the received patient identifier, wherein the received patient identifier and the second patient identifier are different. The method further includes receiving an input from the provider that corresponds to the patient identifier, and accessing a database that contains a stored private ID, wherein the stored private ID is a combination of the received patient identifier and the retrieved second patient identifier, and wherein the database includes data relating to the patient. The method includes searching the database to obtain a search result based on the received input from the provider, and transmitting the search result to the provider.

  • Publication number: 20190373468
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes limiting functionality of a remote controlled device during a first period of time where a user of the remote controlled device is not authenticated, receiving, from a separate authentication device, identity information of the user of the remote controlled device and information of the remote controlled device via an authentication process, authenticating the user prior to allowing full functionality of the remote controlled device, sending an indication of the identity of the user to the remote controlled device; and in response to determining during the authenticating that the user is verified as a trainee for the remote controlled device, enabling a trainer/trainee setting that allows a trainer to provide control of the remote controlled device to the trainee without functionality of the remote controlled device being limited.

  • Publication number: 20190277401
Abstract: In at least some implementations, a park lock assembly for a rotary component of a vehicle includes a lock body having at least one void, a lock member having an engagement portion selectively received within one of said at least one void, an actuator that drives the lock member to a position wherein the engagement portion may be received within one of said at least one void, and a biasing member received between the actuator and the lock member to permit the lock member to move relative to the actuator. The biasing member providing a force on the lock member tending to move the lock member toward the lock body.

  • Publication number: 20190164022
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, computer program product, and system of generating predicted reactions of a user. In some embodiments, the method, computer program product, and system include receiving an intelligence data store, receiving a current data object with a current query and at least one knowledge graph, identifying one or more patterns in the at least one knowledge graph, comparing using a deep neural net, the previous queries and associated one or more patterns with the current query and identified one or more patterns of the current data object, classifying the plurality data objects from the intelligence data store based on a closeness of the current query and identified one or more patterns with each of the previous queries and associated one or more patterns in the intelligence data store, and identifying, by the classification engine, potential dispositions based on the classification of the plurality of data objects.

  • Patent number: 6187530
Abstract: An aquatic autosampler device for frequent collection of discrete samples of microorganisms at various locations and depths. The aquatic autosampler device moves a filter disk within a filter housing from a filter carousel into a filter housing holder. The filter housing holder, slidably mounted on a linear shuttle, moves the filter housing into a process position, where a syringe draws fluid in through a valve manifold and through the filter disk to collect samples on the filter disk. Reagents may then be passed over the filter disk to enable image-based identification and quantification of the cells on the filter disk. An imaging system on the autosampler may capture a fluorescent image of the microorganisms on the filter disk and store the image in a control computer. The filter housing may then be returned to the filter carousel for storage and further lab processing.

  • Patent number: 5507716
Abstract: Equipment and methods employed to assist people to achieve lucid dreams (dreams in which one is aware that one is dreaming) function by detecting and monitoring the eye and head movements of sleeping persons for the presence of sufficient eye movement activity in the absence of head movement to indicate the presence of REM sleep and then applying sensory stimuli to sleepers in REM sleep, which if incorporated into their dreams, can cue them that they are dreaming without producing awakening. With this equipment and methods, people are able to have more lucid dreams than they otherwise would. A preferred embodiment includes a face mask that contains two infrared emitter-detector pairs, one for sensing eye movements and one for sensing body movements, a state-test button, and components that produce low intensity sensory stimuli such as light and sound.
