Publication number: 20250391259Abstract: A vehicle operates as a hub for locating and filtering water. The vehicle receives filter information over a local network connection between the vehicle and a water filter. The vehicle sends the filter information over a wide-area network from the vehicle to a cloud server. A human machine interface (HMI) remote from the filter displays filter details based on the filter information that explain aspects of the operation of the filter.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2025Publication date: December 25, 2025Inventors: Russell Andres, Yeo-Wang John Lee, David Kaiser, Marshall Earnest, Bradley G. Hochrein, Chitra Varanasi, David Pericak, Robert Ralph Iorio

Publication number: 20250246034Abstract: A vehicle operates as a hub for communication with portable devices. The vehicle receives a plurality of packets of a cyclic series of state information sent over a local network broadcast from a portable device. The local network broadcast is sent over a connectionless broadcast protocol, where each of the plurality of packets includes a device identifier of the portable device, a field identifier of the state information being sent, and a data element indicative of a value of the state information for the field identifier. An information cache is updated to include the state information. A request is received for the state information from a mobile device over a data connection, the request including the device identifier. The requested state information is sent to the mobile device as retrieved from the information cache according to the device identifier.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2024Publication date: July 31, 2025Inventors: Russell Andres, Chitra Varanasi, David Kaiser, Marshall Earnest, Bradley G. Patent number: 9624021Abstract: The invention relates to a dispensing module for two liquid products, comprising: a first chamber (20) having a first wall, said first chamber having a first opening; a first piston (61) which can be displaced while resting on the wall of the first chamber; a second piston (64) which can be displaced while resting on a wall of the second chamber, and coupling means (62) for coupling both pistons while the product is being dispensed are provided. According to the invention, in order to prevent functional dysfunctions in the event of a distortion of the shape of container and to freely select the shape of the container, said dispensing module comprises a second chamber, the wall of which can be displaced while resting on the second piston, said second chamber comprising a second opening. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the distortion of the container no longer leads to functional dysfunctions of the dispensing module. Also, the outer shape of the container can be freely selected.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2015Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Assignee: Covestro Deutschland AGInventors: Herve Bodet, Eric Gaillard, Thomas Walter, David Kaiser, Clemens Reizel

Publication number: 20130168413Abstract: The invention relates to a dispensing module (1) for two liquid products, comprising: a first wall (3); a first piston (64) which can slide along the first wall, and which is embodied as a first chamber (30) having at least one outlet; a second piston (61) which is designed such that it can slide along a second wall (21). Coupling means (62) are provided in order to couple together both pistons when the product is being dispensed and at least one of the pistons comprises a piston head (7) which is separated initially by the coupling means, and securing means (641, 722) are provided in order to join the piston head to the coupling means.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2011Publication date: July 4, 2013Applicant: BAYER MATERIALSCIENCE AGInventors: Hervé Bodet, Eric Gaillard, Thomas Walter, David Kaiser, Clemens Reizel

Publication number: 20050212158Abstract: Pulling rolls (13) for glass ribbons (11) and methods for manufacturing such rolls are provided. The rolls include a shaft (17), a plurality of heat-resistant discs (15) mounted on the shaft in face-to-face contact, and a pair of fittings (25 or 25,31) affixed to the shaft which apply an axial compressive force to the discs. The magnitude of the axial compressive force is adjust so that the portions (27) of the roll surface (33) which contact the glass ribbon during use have a Shore D hardness at room temperature of between 30 and 55. The rolls achieve a long service life without applying excessive force to the glass ribbon or generating high levels of particulate contamination.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2005Publication date: September 29, 2005Applicant: Corning IncorporatedInventor: David Kaiser

Patent number: 6561376Abstract: A beverage container includes a body member and a lid that fits thereon in only a single orientation. One way this is accomplished is by using a lid that has an asymmetric perimeter profile such as a reniform. Another way is by using a projection on the body member that uniquely mates with a receiving area on the lid. A first orientation indicator, such as a groove, may be disposed on the body member to indicate the orientation of the container to the user's hand. A second orientation indicator may be disposed on the lid to help guide a user's lips to a drinking aperture and/or assist in preventing spillage. In a preferred embodiment, the body member includes a clear outer member and an inner member, wherein an advertising medium may be disposed between the two members for viewing.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2001Date of Patent: May 13, 2003Assignee: Punch Products USA, Inc.Inventors: Eric Justin Price, Glen Nielsen, David Kaiser
