  • Publication number: 20070135283
Abstract: A corrugated fibreboard blank is configured to be folded into an insert. The insert is configured to receive and protect a product therein and the insert is configured to be received within a shipping container. The shape of the insert produces void spaces that the products cannot reach, thus creating natural air cells within the insert. The ends, tabs and panels of the insert also provide for minimal movement of the product within the insert and further provide layers of cushioning upon impact. The ends of the insert can also be folded in varying manners in order to vary an interior dimension of the insert. The insert can secure a variety of different sized products, is environmentally friendly, inexpensive and space-saving. The insert can be secured in its shape with either tabs, adhesives, or a combination of both.

  • Publication number: 20060131207
Abstract: The invention provides a symmetrical, corrugated fibreboard blank which can be folded into an insert configured to be received within a shipping container. A product can be protected and secured by the insert. The symmetrical design results in ease and speed of assembly regardless of the orientation of the blank along the end user's packaging assembly line. The 5-sided shape of the insert produces void spaces that the products cannot reach, thus creating natural air cells within the insert. The ends, tabs and panels of the insert also provide for minimal movement of the product within the insert and further provide layers of cushioning upon impact. The insert can secure a variety of different sized products, is environmentally friendly, inexpensive and space-saving.

  • Publication number: 20060113215
Abstract: The present invention provides a carton used for packaging and displaying goods. The carton includes a transparent, plastic blank which is folded to encapsulate and secure the goods therein. The carton further includes a cardboard blank which is folded and wrapped around the plastic blank. The cardboard blank is secured to itself by a friction fit. The cardboard blank provides a front face of the carton such that the front face of the carton can be dedicated to full, stylish graphics. The cardboard blank further provides a back face of the carton and has an aperture therethrough such that the back face of the carton provides visibility to the plastic blank and, thus, the goods encapsulated within the plastic blank.

  • Publication number: 20060086635
Abstract: An integral, generally rectangular corrugated fibreboard blank folds to form an insert having three air cells for cradling and protecting a product. Two of the air cells stand vertically generally on top of the third air cell at ends thereof. A product rests on the third air cell and is received and captured between the two vertical air cells. The insert, with the product in place, fits into a box where tabs projecting from the insert cooperates with the box to form two more air cells at the opposite ends of the insert. The specific product which prompted the invention is a toner cartridge for a printer.
