  • Patent number: 10536181
Abstract: A protective case, sized and shaped to encase a mobile device such as a smartphone or a tablet computer, includes a top section and a bottom section. The top section and bottom section are capable of being engaged to one another in a closed relationship, in which the mobile device may be hermetically sealed or isolated from the outside environment. The top section and bottom section may be readily engaged to or disengaged from one another. Embodiments of the protective case may include membrane that includes a first membrane portion and a second membrane portion, the membrane portions having different qualities.

  • Publication number: 20160198823
Abstract: A mobile device case comprises a seal member and a sealing channel to receive the seal member. The sealing channel exerts a force of the seal member perpendicular to a direction of travel of an upper section of the mobile device case. The mobile device case may further comprise a latching system and an accessory rail mounting fixture integrated into a hinge mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20160124290
Abstract: A camera lens and a mobile device case for mounting the camera lens are provided. The camera lens may include a dual mount to allow the lens to couple to a variety of receiving mounts on the mobile device case. The dual mount may comprise first and second mounting systems, such as a bayonet mounting system and a screw mount system.

  • Patent number: 8770402
Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device is provided, which includes a backing and a sidewall section, where the sidewall section has four sides and is coupled to the backing such that a cavity is formed when the backing and the sidewall section are attached. The protective case also includes a geometry seal located inside of the cavity, where the geometry seal is configured to form a lower waterproof seal with the sidewall section and the backing. Furthermore, the protective case also includes a top section, which forms an upper waterproof seal with the sidewall section and the geometry seal, thereby allowing the protective case to provide a waterproof seal around the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 7955865
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing droplets of reagent onto samples includes a probe tip to which droplets of reagent can adhere. The apparatus advances the probe tip toward a sample until a droplet of reagent touches the sample and is pulled off from the probe tip. A sensor detects that the droplet has been pulled off from the probe tip and halts the advance of the probe tip before the probe tip touches the sample. Such apparatus may be used to automatically dispense small volumes of reagent onto fragile samples.

  • Patent number: 5642989
Abstract: A booster compressor system modulates discharge pressure with a proportional regulator in fluid communication between the compressor discharge and a servo control for a valve to the compressor inlet. The servo control comprises a double acting piston connected to a valve control rod. In one embodiment, the proportional regulator is of a negative signal type and communicates to a side of the piston for urging the piston to a valve opening position. A valve closing pressure is applied by a non-relieving regulator in fluid communication between the compressor discharge and the other side of the servo control piston. As the discharge pressure increases, the proportional regulator out let pressure decreases thereby resulting in the servo control allowing the intake valve to the compressor inlet to close. This, in turn, reduces the compressor discharge pressure thereby resulting in the proportional regulator controlling the valve to partially open once more.
