Patent number: 12681182Abstract: A system for generating an image of a region of interest (ROI) from a flying aircraft using a light detection and ranging (lidar) system that includes a transmitter, a receiver, an inertial navigation system, a scanning system, and a system control and a data processing computer. The transmitter includes a pulsed laser. The receiver includes a sensor to detect light scattered and reflected from the ROI. The scanning system uses a field-of-view (FOV) of the transmitter and receiver to interrogate a field-of-regard (FOR) during a flight over the ROI, and the FOV angle is narrower than the FOR angle. The system also includes a software application that divides the ROI into collection unit (CU) areas, and for each CU determines area characteristics, estimates one or more flight paths required to collect CU area data, and determines settings of the sensor for collecting the CU area data.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2022Date of Patent: July 14, 2026Assignee: 3DEO, INC.Inventors: Brandon R. Publication number: 20240392501Abstract: A defibering and deflaking pulper has a defibering rotor-stator pair and a deflaking rotor-stator pair for processing a fiber-based material into smaller pieces. The defibering and deflaking pulper creates an impeller-produced vortical circulation that pulls the material through a defibering rotor-stator interface, where the material is broken down into smaller pieces, and then through a deflaking rotor-stator interface, where the smaller pieces are broken down into even smaller pieces. The defibering and deflaking pulper accumulates the defibered and deflaked material that passes through the defibering rotor-stator interface and the deflaking rotor-stator interface for further processing. This combination of defibering and deflaking in the defibering and deflaking pulper reduces plugging from larger pieces of the material and reduces downstream processing of the material, thus increasing productivity and reducing costs.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2023Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventor: David Kelley

Patent number: 11911774Abstract: A carpet recycling method is disclosed. In a toroidal flow pulper, pieces of carpet are disintegrated in a quantity of liquid to form a slurry of fibrous carpet materials and carpet ash. At least a portion of the fibrous carpet materials are separated from the slurry, and the separated fibrous carpet materials are dried. At least a portion of the carpet ash is isolated from the slurry, and the isolated carpet ash is dried. Thus, a first output comprising dried separated fibrous carpet materials is produced, and a second output comprising dried carpet ash is produced.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2020Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Inventor: David Kelley
