  • Publication number: 20240109682
Abstract: A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish defining an opening into the container, a lower portion including a base defining a standing surface, a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion, the sidewall defining a longitudinal axis, and at least one substantially transversely-oriented pressure panel located in the lower portion. The pressure panel is movable between an outwardly-inclined position and an inwardly-inclined position to compensate for a change of pressure inside the container. The standing surface defines a standing plane, and the entire pressure panel is located between the standing plane and the upper portion of the container when the pressure panel is in the outwardly-inclined position.

  • Patent number: 11911774
Abstract: A carpet recycling method is disclosed. In a toroidal flow pulper, pieces of carpet are disintegrated in a quantity of liquid to form a slurry of fibrous carpet materials and carpet ash. At least a portion of the fibrous carpet materials are separated from the slurry, and the separated fibrous carpet materials are dried. At least a portion of the carpet ash is isolated from the slurry, and the isolated carpet ash is dried. Thus, a first output comprising dried separated fibrous carpet materials is produced, and a second output comprising dried carpet ash is produced.

  • Publication number: 20220404505
Abstract: A system for generating an image of a region of interest (ROI) from a flying aircraft using a light detection and ranging (lidar) system that includes a transmitter, a receiver, an inertial navigation system, a scanning system, and a system control and a data processing computer. The transmitter includes a pulsed laser. The receiver includes a sensor to detect light scattered and reflected from the ROI. The scanning system uses a field-of-view (FOV) of the transmitter and receiver to interrogate a field-of-regard (FOR) during a flight over the ROI, and the FOV angle is narrower than the FOR angle. The system also includes a software application that divides the ROI into collection unit (CU) areas, and for each CU determines area characteristics, estimates one or more flight paths required to collect CU area data, and determines settings of the sensor for collecting the CU area data.
