Abstract: A service engine of a processor-based system determines an estimated amount of taxes due in association with a proposed transaction based on a risk tolerance value specified by a party to the transaction, such as a seller. Multiple classification code queries are generated for classifying an item that is the subject of the proposed transaction, from which a plurality of classification code candidates are determined. Each such classification code candidate is considered in determination of multiple corresponding possible tax-due amounts, and the taxes due for the proposed transaction are determined by the service engine based on a statistical calculation corresponding to the specified risk tolerance value. The service engine provides the estimated tax due amount to one or more parties to the proposed transaction.

Abstract: A pressure regulating device for use with a breathing assistance and/or resuscitation apparatus, which conveys gases along a gases pathway to a patient, includes a mounting for connecting the pressure regulating device to a first outlet in fluid communication with the gases pathway. The mounting holds a valve member that selectively blocks, at least in part, the first outlet. A control member can be manipulated to adjust a property of the valve member. The valve member at least partially blocks the first outlet when the pressure of gases in the pathway is below a selected level, and allows at least a portion of the gases to flow out of the first outlet when the pressure of said gases is above the selected level. The property includes a selected level of pressure whereby manipulation of the control member adjusts the level of pressure between a maximum level and a minimum level.

Abstract: A retention system for a slate call and a striker comprises a slate call retention sleeve for holding the slate call and a striker retention sleeve for holding the striker. The slate call retention sleeve is formed as a separate component from the striker retention sleeve. The slate call and striker retention sleeves each have an attachment mechanism for separately attaching the sleeves to an article such as clothing. The slate call and striker retention sleeves are configured to permit use of the slate call and the striker without removing the slate call and the striker from their sleeves and without detaching the sleeves from the article.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for routing customer support requests via a vertical stack queue. The techniques may include receiving a request for customer support from a user device and identifying a group of agents available to serve the request. The group is associated with a stack queue, and the request is routed to a first level of contact queue pool that includes the group. Upon determining whether a wait time associated the stack queue at the first level of contact queue pool exceeds a predetermined threshold, an additional group of agents to serve the request is identified in addition to the group of the plurality of groups of agents. The group and an additional group of agents are distinct from each other. Upon identifying the additional group, the request is routed to a second level of contact queue pool that includes the additional group of agents.
