    Abstract: This application describes systems and methods for generating machine learning models (MLMs). An exemplary method includes obtaining a sample and user input data characterizing a product or service. A subset of the data is selected from the sample based on sampling the sample according to the user input data. An MLM is trained by applying the data subset as training input to the MLM, thereby providing a trained MLM to emulate a customer selection process unique to the product or service. A user interface (UI) configured to receive other user input data and cause the trained MLM to execute on the other user input data, thereby testing the trained MLM, is presented. A summary of results from the execution of the trained MLM is generated and presented in the UI. The summary of results indicates a contribution to the trained MLM of each of a plurality of features.

The absorptive polarizer has a transmission axis aligned with the transmission axis of the reflective polarizer. The one-way mirror may be provided on the world side of a head-mounted display system. Advantageously, the one-way mirror may reflect light from the world, which provides privacy and may improve the cosmetics of the display. In some implementations, the one-way mirror may include one or more of a depolarizer and a pair of opposing waveplates to improve alignment tolerances and reduce reflections to a viewer. In some implementations, the one-way mirror may form a compact integrated structure with a dimmer for reducing light transmitted to the viewer from the world.

    Abstract: An eyepiece and waveguide for viewing a projected image in a virtual reality and augmented reality imaging and visualization system. The waveguide may include a substrate for guiding light. The waveguide may also include an incoupling diffractive element disposed within or on the substrate and configured to diffract an incoupled light related to the projected image into the substrate. The waveguide may further include a first grating disposed within or on the substrate and configured to manipulate the diffracted incoupled light from the incoupling diffractive element so as to multiply the projected image and to direct the multiplied projected image to a second grating. The second grating may be disposed within or on the substrate and may be configured to outcouple the manipulated diffracted incoupled light from the waveguide. The first grating and the second grating may occupy a same region of the waveguide.

    Abstract: An integrated cooker-strainer system for food preparation. The device includes a pot assembly operatively associated with a strainer assembly. The integrated system has a first position wherein a handle and container of the strainer assembly is substantially engaged in a handle and container of the pot assembly. In both the first and second position, a sealed mating portion between the strainer and pot maintains contact between the surfaces, preventing the leakage of liquid at this point. The integrated system may be used for a variety of other purposes, for example, as a meat strainer, colander, steamer, and produce shaker. The integrated system may be used for baking, microwave or stovetop cooking. A hand-operated pressing mechanism can be employed to accelerate drainage of liquid from food.
