Abstract: A calibration weight assembly (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) has at least one calibration weight (150, 550, 750) and a transfer mechanism, and is used with a gravimetric force-measuring device (110, 210, 310, 410, 510) having a fixed region (111, 211, 311, 411, 511), a load-receiving region (112, 212, 312, 412, 512), and a measuring sensor (140, 540). The transfer mechanism has at least one poly-stable positioning element (561, 571), a first stable state of which defines a calibration position (KP) and a second stable state of which defines a resting position (RP) of the transfer mechanism. The at least one calibration weight can be coupled with the load-receiving region. The transfer mechanism, as actuated by the measuring sensor, transfers the at least one calibration weight from the calibration position to the resting position, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 10240968
Abstract: A differential measurement circuit (1) is implemented in a balance with electromagnetic force compensation. The circuit receives input from two photo currents (I1, I2) generated by photodiodes (D1, D2) and generates an output signal proportional to their difference. A switch (SW) controls the flow of current through a node (K?) to which the two photo currents are directed, by flipping between two states (zt1, zt2) within two phases (t1, t2) of a time period T. The switch is controlled so a reference current (IRef) from a voltage or current source (URef) is superimposed alternatingly within the time phases on one of the two photo currents which continuously flow into the node. The node lies at the input of an integrator (INT) whose integrator signal (sINT) can be compared in a comparator (CMP) to a cyclically recurring ramp signal (sRAMP) which conforms to the time period.

  • Patent number: 9708096
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-opening closure with a pouring spout (12), a self-opening sleeve (20) which is guided in the connector in a helical manner, and a cover (30) which covers the pouring spout (12). A driver cam (24) is formed on the self-opening sleeve, said driver cam defining a guide surface (241). The cover has a driver (34) which defines a front edge (341). The front edge interacts with the guide surface of the driver cam. The front edge and the guide surface are inclined by the same angle of inclination relative to the longitudinal axis in order to allow an optimal force transmission between the cover and the self-opening sleeve. Additionally, the guide surface can be designed in a concave manner, and the front edge of the driver can be rounded in a corresponding manner in order to prevent a radial deflection of the driver towards the inside.

  • Publication number: 20050083856
Abstract: The present invention includes installing a computer network (51) in a building (24) by coupling together a hub (50, 350) and a number of network adapters (100, 400) together with previously installed cabling. Data signals are transmitted from the adapters (100, 400) to the hub (50, 350) within a first frequency range and converted to frequency-converted data signals within a second frequency range for transmission back to the adapters (100, 400). The network (51) interfaces to an ethernet bus (37) through each of the adapters (100, 400).
