    Abstract: A method for monitoring an environment for threat conditions potentially related to a catastrophic event is disclosed herein. The method includes determining baseline levels of one or more environmental agents in an area based upon first measurement data received from a sensor network. The method further includes establishing one or more threshold levels relative to the baseline levels. Second measurement data received from the sensor network is then processed with respect to the one or more baseline levels. The method also includes identifying at least one threat based upon the processing of the second sensor measurement data. The identified threat is then assesses and prioritized.
