  • Publication number: 20060223718
Abstract: An automotive racing oil and method of making same, the automotive racing oil comprising base oil comprising polyalphaolefin and racing oil components effective to produce automotive racing oil properties comprising a kinematic viscosity of from about 3.2 centistokes (cSt) to about 25 cSt at 100° C. and a coefficient of friction of about 0.065 or less at 180° C., the automotive racing oil having a molybdenum concentration of more than 360 ppm and a zinc concentration of about 1400 ppm or more, both as measured by X-ray fluorescence, and a quantity of a combination of esters maintaining the racing oil components in solution in the base oil, the combination of esters comprising one or more multiester(s) and one or more polyol monoester(s).

  • Patent number: 5650229
Abstract: A fiber filler for filling voids between mated fiber plies, for example, as occurs in the preparation of a preform assembly for forming a T-shaped structural member, is disclosed. The fiber filler comprises a plurality of unidirectional fibers, shaped to conform to the shape of the void and a stabilizer intermingled with the unidirectional fibers. The stabilizer is present in an amount sufficient to hold the fibers together in the shape of the void, but below an amount which would inhibit resin flow during subsequent injection, so that the fiber filler is fully integrated into the final part.

  • Patent number: 3934505
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed wherein a signal proportional to the speed of a moving web is compared with a signal proportional to the speed of a motor driven rotary, printing member, and a resultant corrective signal is transmitted to the control for the motor, so that the linear speed of the rotary printing member is made equal to the web speed. A plurality of printing members are provided so that the linear speed of each of the printing members is made equal to the web speed and in synchronization one with the other. The method and apparatus as aforesaid are specifically adaptable for rotary screen printing of fabrics, wherein the fabric contactingly engages a plurality of rotating screens in series, and a color is passed through each screen in selected predetermined areas, so that the composite screen printings provides a repetitive design on the fabric.
