  • Patent number: 9843176
Abstract: An installation fixture for installing a device on a power line is disclosed. The fixture includes a lower cradle that may receive one part of the device, an upper cradle that may receive another part of the device, and a base. The installation fixture may be installed on a worker carrier for a boom truck or the like. The orientation of the lower cradle may be adjusted relative to the base to facilitate the installation on the power line. The upper cradle may be moved between an open position (where the parts may be loaded into the fixture) and a closed position (where the power line is captured between the two parts of the device) and at which time that parts can be secured together.

  • Patent number: 4918258
Abstract: A system utilizing modular hardware for residential and commercial buildings. The system includes pre-wired molded plastic hardware and a circuit breaker panel which can be attached to electrical circuits having wire modules, and can be expanded using a circuit breaker panel extension module. It further includes smaller electrical boxes having mounting dovetails including electrical contacts for electrically and supportedly connecting a first electrical box to a second and third. A cavity is centrally disposed in each electrical box for receiving a pre-wired modular function unit and a standard function module, or a single pre-wired standard function module unit. The standard function module can be a standard switch, dual receptacle, lighting fixture, circuit breaker, or junction box and the like.

  • Patent number: 4774975
Abstract: For removal of the contaminant deposits from a surface such as a tube sheet of a vertical tube heat exchanger, as in a nuclear steam generator, having plural spaced heat exchange tubes connected to the tube sheet, a lance is radially moved along the tube sheet between parallel rows of tubes. The lance carries a nozzle for ejecting a stream of high pressure cleaning fluid toward the sludge deposits, the nozzle acting cyclically to sweep the stream throughout a range of directions centered about the nozzle axis. The nozzle may include diverting streams for deflecting the cleaning fluid stream, with the diverting streams either being generated by a fluidic oscillator or being fed back from the outlet portion of the nozzle. Alternatively, pivoting vane means may be provided in the nozzle to divert the cleaning fluid stream.

  • Patent number: 4266602
Abstract: Fluid-to-air heat exchanger apparatus which maximizes heat dissipation capacity for a given base size, while reducing operating sound level. The components of the heat exchanger are vertically located in a vertically elongated housing, with the tube core and fans centrally disposed therein. Sound attenuating muffler sections are disposed above and below the tube core and fans, with the air entering and leaving the housing adjacent to the bottom and top portions thereof, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4205456
Abstract: A mechanical refrigeration system is arranged to function as a heat pump for the purpose of drying material, such as shelled corn for example, with ambient air being first passed through the refrigerant condenser to be heated, then passed through the material to be dried, and then passed through the refrigerant evaporator and discharged back to atmosphere.
