Abstract: A strategy for developing an internet-based network of directory-style websites, where each site operates independently as a fully-developed portal for its local online community and concurrently functions as a portal for the network as a whole, providing access to the other directory-style websites on the network. Various potential configurations are presented. The method eliminates the need for a central portal website, while transforming each URL on the network into a directory-style website with high value content and links. One configuration combines locality with profession to establish a network of locally-based, directory-style websites, each with its own community of local professional therapists: effectively establishing an online network community-based therapists using interconnected but functionally separate URLs.
