  • Publication number: 20080097879
Abstract: A credit card processing system uses an express processing module to create and initialize merchant accounts. The credit card processing system includes a merchant, bank, and credit card association which are connected by electronic communication links. The express processing module uses a plurality of data entry screens to compile and format merchant data for transmission to the bank which in turn opens the merchant accounts upon completion and approval of all data requirements. The express processing module further manages workflow of the applications for each of the plurality of merchants by tracking data entry progress and assigning resources to complete the applications and meet requirements for creation and initialization of the merchant accounts. The express processing module uses a plurality of web services handlers to interface with external systems to handle requests for information.

  • Patent number: 5569129
Abstract: A small, transportable, and rollable device for lifting and supporting patients undergoing partial weight bearing gait training (over treadmill or over ground) is provided. The carriage underlying this device is "U"-shaped with a pair of low horizontal rails making up the arms of the "U" and the lifting equipment being mounted at the closed end of the "U". Low profile for movement through doors and in low-ceiling rooms is achieved by a vertically telescoping height adjustment to the top of which is connected a horizontal "Y"-shaped connection to provide two connection points at the ends of the "Y" (and above and between the rails) for a patient harness. The harness construction provides sufficient adjustability for a therapist to achieve equal division of support among groin, abdominal, and chest areas, while permitting full leg extension of the patient. The low rails enable unobstructed access to the patient's legs during gait training.
