  • Publication number: 20040011753
Abstract: A modular point-of-purchase display system is provided with a base in which open-fronted trays are inserted, and an alternative base in which open-fronted trays are stacked onto a base having an inclined, L-shaped profile, when observed from the side, the trays being wider than the base surface upon which they rest. Vertical extensions are provided, for increasing the stacking capacity of each of the bases. Two tray sizes are provided, ones having a shallow depth, and ones having substantially greater depth. Front extensions are provided for the bases, in both modes, for accommodating trays having substantially greater depth. Trays are provided with interior wall components that enable the user to select between several alternative tray interior configurations, to accommodate products being displayed, products having different dimensions, and to accommodate products having different row and/or stack counts.

  • Patent number: 5447225
Abstract: A tray/shroud shipping container which is convertible to a display container upon removal of the shroud. The container is preassembled before being filled with packaged goods from two separate blanks which are joined together to form the container. The container is made from a tray blank for forming the tray and a shroud blank for forming the shroud. The shroud telescopes within the tray and is releasably secured within the tray and covers and protects the packaged goods. The container includes two diagonally opposing vertical fold lines which comprise two substantially parallel lines of weakness. The lines of weakness of each pair are spaced apart by distances least as great as the thickness of the container so that the container can be folded along the lines of weakness thereby collapsing the container to a generally flat condition.

  • Patent number: 4913292
Abstract: A flip-top dispensing container for flowable solid materials includes an improved pour spout and a handle element for automatically lifting the flip-top when the container is dispensed. The container is prepared from two cut and scored paperboard blanks to form an outer container portion and an inner insert portion. The flip-top of the container is formed in the top of the outer container portion from portions of three contiguous outer container body panels and a part of the top closure at one end of the container. The improved pour spout is formed from the panels of the inner insert portion by extendable wing elements foldably attached thereto. The wing elements and one panel of the insert are provided with diagonally oriented score lines which enable the wing elements to be folded inwardly to provide improved flow control during dispensing. The handle element is located between the top closure flaps of the outer container so that one end thereof is attached to the flip-top portion of the container.

  • Patent number: 4170120
Abstract: This apparatus simulates the appearance of an actual dead bolt lock. When installed, the simulated dead bolt lock discourages would-be vandals from attempting to break into homes or businesses. The simulated dead bolt lock is installed on a door and includes a collar fastened to the door so that the collar resists rotation when fastened. The collar has a back surface, beveled side surfaces and a front surface. A recess is formed in the front surface of the collar to receive a keyway insert. The keyway insert has a keyhole, and is permanently secured within the recess on the front surface of the collar.
