Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to an apparel item that promotes thermo-regulation through the use of engineered openings, venting, and/or stand-off structures. In exemplary aspects, 20-45% of the apparel item may comprise the engineered openings. Vents may be positioned on the apparel item in areas that experience high amounts of air flow to help channel air into the apparel item. The stand-off structures may be positioned on an inner-facing surface of the apparel item where they help to create a space between the apparel item and the wearer's body surface in which air can flow and help cool the wearer by promoting evaporative cooling.

Abstract: A cover material for a bulk material pile and method for applying the cover material are disclosed. The cover composition is free of fiber, clay, cement and pozzolanic material and comprises: 95 to 99.75 percent by weight water, 0.25 to 5 percent by weight of a water dispersible cellulosic polymer; and sufficient acid to maintain the pH of the solution between 1.0 and 6.0. The method for applying the cover material includes: providing the cover composition, which contains 95 to 99.75 percent by weight water, 0.25 to 5 percent by weight of a water dispersible cellulosic polymer; and sufficient acid to maintain the pH of the solution between 1.0 and 6.0; applying the cover composition onto a bulk material pile; and allowing the composition to harden to provide a cover to at least a portion of the bulk material pile.

Abstract: A cover composition comprises at least about 50 weight percent water, about 1 to about 50 weight percent of cement and/or fly ash, at least some fiber, at least some water dispersible polymer, and at least some acid, the cover composition being free of foaming agent. The acid is present in an amount sufficient to maintain the pH of the bulk material cover composition between about 1.0 and about 6.0. Also provided is a composition consisting essentially of about 70 to about 80 weight percent cellulosic water dispersible polymer, about 15 to about 30 weight percent fiber, and about 0.1 to about 5 weight percent acid, wherein the acid maintains the pH of the composition between about 1.0 and about 6.0.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for servicing landfill conduits are disclosed. These systems, methods, and apparatus employ structures which facilitate access to and the servicing of buried landfill conduits, for example, one or more buried landfill laterals. In one aspect, the systems include an enclosure, at least one inlet conduit passing into the enclosure, at least one outlet conduit passing out of the enclosure, and at least one service conduit having a valve and an access port positioned between the inlet conduit and the outlet conduit. In another aspect, methods and portable apparatuses are provided for introducing high-pressure fluids or vacuum to a landfill conduit, for example, by means of the access port in the service conduit, to remove or dislodge obstructions. Conduits connected to blowers and pumps are used to introduce or withdraw fluids from the landfill conduits, for example, from predetermined locations within the landfill conduits identified by remote sensing devices.

A money handler associated with the payor is used to provide at least the first payment amount. A conversion ratio between the first and second currencies is determined. A second payment amount is made available to the payee for pickup at a retail location. The first currency is different from the second currency.
