  • Patent number: 11639577
Abstract: An automated method is provided for forming pleats in a textile product in a production line. The method includes conveying a web of the textile product on a conveyor in the production line. The web is folded using a folding board at a folding station in the production line. The method includes removing heat from the folding board. The automated method can allow for high speed folding of the textile product without damaging the textile product from heat caused by friction between the web of textile product and the folding board.

  • Patent number: 11220362
Abstract: An automated system and method wrap the fastening ties around the body of a continuous stream of facemasks in a facemask production line. The facemasks are oriented such that each facemask has a leading pair of ties and a trailing pair of ties extending from a body in a conveying direction of the production line. The leading pair of ties is drawn below the body as the facemask continues to be conveyed in the conveying. The body is conveyed through a plurality of conveyor sections oriented at angles such that the conveying direction of the body changes at a junction from one conveyor section to an adjacent conveyor section. At the junctions between conveyor sections, an impinging force is directed against the body that causes the body to flip, thereby causing the leading and trailing pairs of ties to further wrap around the body.

  • Patent number: 10946999

The facemasks are oriented such that each facemask has a leading pair of ties and a trailing pair of ties extending from a body in a conveying direction of the production line. At a wrapping station in the production line, the facemask body is subsequently clamped to prevent rotation of the body. The leading and trailing pairs of ties are grasped with a rotation device at each side of the conveyor that rotates around the body to wrap the leading and trailing pairs of ties to wrap around the body.

  • Publication number: 20210030085
Abstract: A facemask and automated system for producing facemasks is disclosed. The facemask has a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The facemask includes a mask body having a generally rectangular shape, a pair of lateral edges extending in the lateral direction, and a pair of longitudinal edges extending in the longitudinal direction. At least one tie is attached to the mask body such that the tie extends away from the mask body in a direction that forms an angle with the longitudinal direction. The angle ranges from about 10 degrees to about 80 degrees.

  • Patent number: 10813393
Abstract: An automated system and method for the manufacture of facemasks from a web of a textile product in a production line is provided. The web is conveyed in the production line along a machine direction. A first tie is attached at a tie attaching station to the web of the textile product, such that the first tie extends from the web in a cross-machine direction perpendicular to the machine direction. The web and first tie are cut at a cutting station in the cross-machine direction across a width of the web in the cross-machine direction to form a facemask separate from the web.

  • Publication number: 20180208343
Abstract: An automated method and system for preparing facemask for subsequent stacking and packaging in a facemask production line include conveying individual facemasks in an alternating and offset nesting pattern on a first conveyor at a first conveying speed. The facemasks are transferred to a second conveyor having a second conveying speed that is greater than the first conveying speed so that an increased gap is generated between adjacent facemasks. The aligned facemasks are wrapped at an automated in-line wrapping station wherein a continuous wrapping material is bonded around each individual facemask. At an in-line cutting station, the bonded wrapping material is cut between each adjacent facemask.

  • Patent number: 6647887
Abstract: A linear ignition fuze has a sheath, the inner surface of which has an irregular cross section such that the sheath is capable of forming a gas channel against a single strand core having a substantially circular (e.g. circular or elliptical) cross section. According to one embodiment of the invention, the sheath wall is of a non-uniform thickness having a cylindrical outer surface and a polygonal inner surface. The gap formed between the apexes of the polygonal inner surface and the substantially cylindrical core form the gas channels, while the contact between the side walls of the polygonal inner surface and the cylindrical core confine the core within the sheath.

  • Patent number: 5764424
Abstract: An attachment lens system (10) to adjust magnification has a housing (20) with an optical system (22). The housing (20) has a mechanism (36) to secure it to a stereo visual system (12) and to position the housing (20) in front of the stereo visual optical system. The optical system (22) is an afocal system including at least two lenses (90, 92) which are adjustable to adjust focal length of the entire system. Also the housing (20) includes a mechanism (24) to lock the lenses (90, 92) in position once they have been adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4212833
Abstract: In a two-barrel carburetor, a pair of plain tube mixture conduits each has a main well receiving fuel through a flow restriction which opens upwardly from the high point of a metered fuel plenum. The plenum receives fuel through a main jet controlled by a metering rod which is positioned by a vacuum responsive piston, through an auxiliary jet controlled by a metering rod which is positioned by an ambient pressure responsive bellows, and if desired through another auxiliary jet controlled by a manually adjustable metering rod.
