  • Publication number: 20010034586
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a property and controlling electrical devices located at the property via a network is disclosed. The system may include a controller, a monitoring device and a device having a first state and a second state. The controller receives an image from the monitoring device and transmits the image to a network in response to a request for the image, and changes the state of the device in response to a request for the change in state. The controller may also store the image in a data storage device for future access, and may also provide notification of any problems perceived by the system. Notification may be by e-mail message, via telephone page, or audible indicator on or off the premises.

  • Patent number: 4898015
Abstract: A deflection compensating device is provided for a press brake. The deflection compensating device includes a base member secured to the bed of the press brake. The base member supports two wedges thereon which extend the length of the device. A top member rests on the wedges, and the top member supports the die. The longitudinal ends of the top member, the base member, and the wedges are secured together. The wedges each have upper and lower angled sliding engagement surfaces engaging the top and base members. A screw device is provided to draw the middle of the wedges apart. This causes bowing of the wedges which cammingly bows the top member and the die to compensate for deflection during press operation. A symmetry support structure is provided to ensure that the wedges move equal distances from the center line when drawn apart. Guide pins extend through the top and base members to prevent transverse or twisting movement of the top and base members relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4895014
Abstract: A tool support structure for a press brake has a plurality of independently movable clamps, each of which is independently spring biased for linear movement into a clamped position wherein the clamps secure a tool in the structure. The clamps are about one inch long to ensure full, continuous clamping contact with the tool. Release of the clamping action is accomplished by either a hydraulic system or a wedge system which, when activated, overcomes the bias force and moves the clamping members to the release position wherein the tool may be removed from the structure.

  • Patent number: 4787237
Abstract: A failsafe hydraulically operated tool clamping system for use on press brakes comprising a series of pressure/spring actuated piston control units or actuators. These actuators are attached to the press brake tool clamps by a plurality of spaced bolts which extend through the actuators and the fixed and slidable members defining the tool clamps. Compression or Belleville springs urge the fixed and slidable clamp members into tight engage with the tool set punch and die. To open the clamp, pneumatic or hydraulic pressure is applied against the actuator piston thereby overcoming the force exerted by said springs and releasing the punch and die. Both tool set members remain firmly gripped within respective tool clamps in the event of system pressure loss thereby assuring failsafe retention thereof. The lower or bed clamp assembly comprises an L-shaped slidable member and a fixed member with a slot for receiving one leg of the L-shaped member.

  • Patent number: 4687966
Abstract: A deflection yoke for a video display system incorporates an arrangement for the introduction and distribution of adhesive to effect assembly of the yoke and mounting of the yoke to a cathode ray tube. A single adhesive inlet location transports adhesive through delivery channels to various locations about the deflection yoke to fix the relative positions of the horizontal and vertical deflection coils as well as mounting the yoke to a cathode ray tube.
