  • Publication number: 20150167081
Abstract: The invention features a method of identifying oocytes with a risk of reproductive failure and/or aneuploidy based on a telomere length assay.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 3, 2014
    Publication date: June 18, 2015

  • Patent number: 8771941
Abstract: The invention features a method of identifying oocytes with a risk of reproductive failure and/or aneuploidy based on a telomere length assay.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 10, 2009
Date of Patent: July 8, 2014
    Inventor: David L. Keefe
  • Patent number: 7756442
Abstract: A guide is used to protect a corona cartridge during shipping and during insertion into an electrostatic marking apparatus. The guide has dimensions that will permit the cartridge to fit therein and has a locking mechanism that securely holds the cartridge in place during shipment or movement. When the cartridge is to be removed from the guide and inserted into an electrostatic marking system, a handle attached to a latch is used to free the latch from a groove in the guide. The groove in the guide is located between two upwardly protruding ramps having a slidable side and a locking side that abuts the latch and holds it in place until activation when the latch handle frees it from the groove.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2006
Date of Patent: July 13, 2010
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: David L. Keefe, Karl E. Kurz, Mark T. Bartlett
  • Patent number: 7715749
Abstract: High torque causing machine failures and motor damage are corrected by the embodiments of this invention. Springs are put on both ends of the lead shaft and the windings around the lead shaft are reduced to substantially reduce the torque created during a power on-power off situation in addition to during normal operations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2006
Date of Patent: May 11, 2010
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Bruce A. Dangelmaier, David L. Keefe, Martin J. Curynski

  • Patent number: 6879713
Abstract: The developmental potential of a mammalian oocyte for successful implantation is evaluated by producing a plurality of intensity images of the oocyte using polarized light optics, and calculating a retardance image with a sensitivity of 3 nm or less. The presence, location and morphological characteristics of a meiotic spindle in the oocyte can then be determined based on the spindle structure in the retardance image, and the developmental potential of the oocyte can be evaluated.
