  • Patent number: 5063700
Abstract: A fish bait and lure illuminator is comprised of a watertight housing containing an electrical battery and a bulb which provides a source of illumination in the housing. An optical fiber extends into the housing and has its inner end close to the light source. Light is conducted through the optical fiber out of the housing, through the length of optical fiber with little or no attentuation. The external end of the fiber optic acts as a lens to give off light similar in intensity to the source of illumination to illuminate the living, non-living bait or artificial lure.
