    Abstract: An apparatus is described. The apparatus includes a semiconductor chip package, a main cooling mass, a heat pipe and a remote cooling mass. The apparatus further includes: a) a channel in one of the main and remote cooling masses into which the heat pipe is inserted, the channel being wide enough to allow movement of the heat pipe within the channel in response to relative movement of the main and remote cooling masses, wherein, the main cooling mass comprises a chamber with liquid, the heat pipe comprises a fluidic channel that is coupled to the chamber and vapor from the liquid is to be condensed within the heat pipe; b) a flexible region integrated into the heat pipe; and/or, c) a flexible connector into which the heat pipe is inserted.

The purlin can include a steel structure having a pair of outer flanges flaring away from a support surface for defining outer edges of the purlin. Connected to respective inner edges of the outer flanges along bent edges can be a pair of supports. The supports can be configured to engage a support surface and define a lower surface of the purlin. Connected to respective inner edges of the supports can be a pair of support webs that extend away from the support surface.

    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a roofing assembly. The roofing assembly can include trusses, purlins, and purlin collars. Purlins can be attached to the trusses, and purlin collars can be attached to the trusses, to the purlins, or both. The purlins and purlin collars can be attached using chemical and/or mechanical fasteners. In one embodiment, the purlins and purlin collars are attached to the trusses with nails. Another embodiment of the disclosure includes an integrated starter-terminator that includes a hat section, a fascia, and a soffit return. The starter-terminator can be attached to the purlins, the purlin collars, or both, and can be attached to the roofing system using any desired attachment mechanisms, including nails.

    Abstract: A system for the preparation and installation of building exterior panels is presented which is both economical and practical. In the described embodiments, edge mounting members having anchor teeth are assembled on all four sides of a laminated aluminum panel having routed out edges. Anchor sockets having anchor teeth indents adapted to mate lockingly with the anchor teeth of the edge mounting members are affixed to the building frame in a mating relation to the edge mounting members and in a location to accept the panel. The panel is snapped into engagement with the anchor sockets locking the anchor teeth into the anchor teeth indents obtaining a permanent attachment. Individual panels may be replaced in case of damage.
