  • Publication number: 20210378581
Abstract: A neural analysis and treatment system includes a computing device with a memory for storing an application that is executable on a processor to receive amplitude-integrated electroencephalography (aEEG) and range-EEG (rEEG) measurements associated with a patient. The systems determine a spectral edge frequency (SEF) measurement from the received EEG measurements, and determine one or more neural characteristics of the patient according to the determined SEF, aEEG, and rEEG measurements. These neural characteristics may then be used to identify and implement an appropriate therapeutic treatment.

  • Patent number: 9974476
Abstract: A handheld device detects and measures orofacial activity, including oral cavity pressure and one or more compressions, deformations, displacements, or deflections of a pacifier engaged to the device. The compressions, deformations, displacements, or deflections of the pacifier refer to changes in the shape of the pacifier, caused by patient, relative to an initial state of the pacifier. The device translates the oral cavity pressure and compressions into an electrical signal, digitizes the electrical signal, and performs analytical processing of the digitized signal to extract physiological artifacts salient to the patient's ability to orally feed using a software application executing on a processor within the device. The device automates and simplifies the assessment of a patient's readiness to orally feed by presenting graphical and numeric scores for organization and effort of non-nutritive suck.

  • Publication number: 20020147596
Abstract: An on-line, web-based laboratory services brokerage system. The system website operator enlists and maintains a network of member laboratories having underutilized scientific laboratory capabilities. An electronic database of the member laboratory capabilities is also maintained by the operator. Customer requests for proposals (RFPs) for laboratory service projects are received over the internet. In response to the RFPs, a scientist at the system business will review and select from the database one or more member laboratories which may be capable of performing the requested laboratory service projects. The system business will then provide the selected laboratories, over the internet, descriptions of the requested laboratory service projects, and present the selected laboratories the opportunity to make proposals of the terms on which the laboratories desire to pursue the requested projects.
