  • Publication number: 20220372890
Abstract: In the compressor of a gas turbine engine, variable guide vanes are adjusted by virtue of connections to an actuation ring that can be rotated within a fixed range of degrees. The connections between the guide vanes and the actuation ring can undergo significant torsional stress. Accordingly, an actuation system is disclosed for reducing the torsional stress experienced by the actuation connections.

  • Patent number: 11236615
Abstract: A stator assembly, at a compressor mid-plane in a gas turbine engine, to be mounted around a rotor disc, enables access to the rotor disc (e.g., for trim balancing), without requiring disassembly of the stator assembly and/or a compressor case in which the stator assembly is housed, via a removable stator vane. The stator assembly may comprise vane apertures, aligned along a radial axis, that hold the removable stator vane when inserted into the stator assembly, and provide a radial pathway to the rotor disc, when the removable stator vane is removed from the stator assembly. In addition, a case access assembly may seal the removable stator vane in place within a compressor case when engaged, and provide access to the removable stator vane and radial pathway through the compressor case when disengaged. This enables trim balancing of a mid-plane compressor rotor assembly through the stator assembly and compressor case.

  • Patent number: 10647363
Abstract: This invention is a retractable cargo wall for flatbed trucks and trailers that lowers into an enclosure that may be rollup canister or tray. Once the cargo walls are lowered, the posts supporting the walls may collapse into the bed, thereby transforming a bed with cargo walls into a flatbed. It is also anticipate that a truck or trailer bed with posts can be transformed into a flatbed truck or trailer.

  • Patent number: 10089494
Abstract: A network device is provided. The network device includes a processor and a memory with code thereupon. The code when executed by the processor causes the processor to provide object files referenced in the code, randomize an order of linking the object files in the code at a link time, and create a plurality of unique static images of a binary file based upon the randomized order.

  • Patent number: 8845898
Abstract: An auxiliary power unit includes a gearbox housing portion and a filter housing portion providing an integral housing. A filter cavity is provided in the filter housing portion. A surface circumscribes the filter cavity. A scupper includes a passage extending from the surface to an opening on an exterior surface of the integral housing. A sealing region between the scupper and the filter cavity is configured to fluidly isolate the scupper and the fuel filter cavity from one another. In one example, the filter cavity receives a fuel filter cartridge. A cap is secured to the filter housing portion and encloses the filter cavity when in a secured position.
