  • Patent number: 9454738
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for automating a selection of data inputs. Some technologies are adapted to select a product that is a component part of a segment. The technologies select an external product that is utilized for production of the segment and an external component of the external product. If the name of the external component matches a name of the product, then the technologies add the external component as an external input to the product. The technologies also select an internal product that is utilized for the production of the segment and an internal component of the internal product. If the name of the internal component matches the name of the product, then the technologies add the internal component as an internal input to the product.

    Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANY
Inventors: David Lee Grose, Thomas E. Sherer, Scott D. Button
  • Patent number: 9330488
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for generating a three-dimensional display. Some technologies are adapted to retrieve a model defining a feed-forward network related to a development process. The technologies generate a first three-dimensional shape representing each internal product according to the model. The technologies also generate a second three-dimensional shape representing each dependency of each internal product corresponding to each first three-dimensional shape. The technologies further generate a third three-dimensional shape representing each component of each dependency corresponding to each second three-dimensional shape.

  • Patent number: 6141776
Abstract: A method of analyzing process steps and creating a data-driven process is disclosed. A data-driven process is a process that has its steps sequenced according to data relationships among the process steps, and the rule that a step is placed in the sequence only when all of its inputs exist. A data-driven process can only be created when all steps may be placed in the sequence according to this rule. The method determines if a process is data-driven by checking to see if any of the individual steps causes one or more errors which would prevent data-driven sequencing, and, if any errors are found, error correction is attempted in order to create a data-driven process.
