The device for floating includes at least two spaced, parallel, side-by-side pontoons and a frame connected to the pontoons and extending above the space between the pontoons for supporting the user in the space between the pontoons. The footwear includes a foot receiving portion having a foot receiving surface and a second surface opposite to the foot receiving surface and fins extending downwardly from the second surface.

Abstract: The board member of the water sport equipment includes a steering arrangement and a control for controlling the steering arrangement. The glider member includes a stabilizer extending across a centerline of the glider member.

Abstract: To arrest backward sliding of a cross-country ski on an inclined surface, a device is attached to the cross-country ski. The device includes a mounting block mounted on the top surface of the ski such that a first side of the mounting block is adjacent an edge of the ski. A flipper member is pivotally connected to the first side of the mounting block such that, in a vertical position of the flipper member, the flipper member overlies the one edge of the ski. The flipper member includes a first wall substantially parallel with the one edge of the ski, and a second wall substantially perpendicular to the first wall. Thus, sliding of the ski is arrested both in the direction along the longitudinal axis of the ski and in the direction transverse to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A board for carrying the user and a glider held and manipulated by the user. The board includes a rubber band with an inner circumference which is unattached to the top surface of the board and an outer circumference which is attached to the top surface of the board. The user can insert his feet under the band through the unattached inner circumference so that his feet are held by the rubber band in such a manner that he can change position on the top surface of the board without the rubber band releasing the hold on his feet. The glider includes a sail portion of a regular shape and a rigid frame surrounding the sail portion. It also includes a rigid handle. Thus, the glider is adapted to catch the wind to propel the user and the glider can be manipulated in all directions by the user.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sporting and exercising unit which includes a foot receiving member and a spring member attached to and disposed at the bottom of the foot receiving member. The spring member includes a spring-leaf-like portion which forms a closed loop and is shaped to permit backward and forward rocking of the user. The spring member may be oval shaped, circle shaped, or in the shape of a parallelogram. The foot receiving member is adjustable to receive different sizes of feet and legs by having opening flaps extending therealong and openings for receiving laces in the flaps whereby to adjust the sizes of these portions by adjusting the sizes of the openings and to adjustably close the openings.
