  • Publication number: 20030057338
Abstract: A clamp device which is intended for clamping to the top of a door frame so that e.g. a swing can be suspended therefrom. The clamp device includes an elongate bar member 12. Slidably mounted on the bar 12 is a first engagement element 11 and a second engagement element 13. In use the shoulders 11a, 13a of the engagement elements 11, 13 hook over the top of the architrave of the door frame and the engagement elements 11, 13 clamp the door frame therebetween. The engagement element 13 is fixed in place on the bar 12 and the engagement element 11 is adjustable but lockable in the clamping position by a grab plate 21 engaged with the first engagement 11 by adjustment shaft 22. Mountings 28 are provided at each end of the bar 12 for attachment of the suspension cords of e.g. a swing.

  • Patent number: 6537852
Abstract: A spacer-connector stud comprises a stacked array of glass epoxy laminates, each laminate having a copper layer laminated thereto. The top and bottom laminates of the stud include a spatial array of thermal contacts suitable as a footprint for C4 bump technology. A location is selected on a circuitized base card to accommodate the laminated stud. The stud has a thickness greater than twice the thickness of the components attached to the card. The thermal contacts on the stud, typically solderable, join to a wiring array on the card. A second multi-chip module card having attached and interconnected components on both sides of the second card is mechanically aligned with the based card and pressed against the contacts on the top layer of the stud to form an assembly. The assembly is heated causing the second card to become soldered to the contact footprint on the stud.

  • Publication number: 20030024761
Abstract: A sleeve for an acoustic logging tool has a structure with a window section having fewer bars than a conventional sleeve separated by a slotted region with thin circumferential slots which are stress-relieved at the ends (“dumb-bell” shaped). Steel receiver mounts are provided for hydrophone pressure sensors and this, together with the axially oriented hydrophones makes the tool less susceptible to interfering vibration.

  • Patent number: 6510857
Abstract: A conventional apparatus for preventing growth of microbia in a carrier tube by an electromagnetic field has no or little effect. An apparatus 1 serves to prevent growth of microbia propagating themselves on an internal wall of a carrier tube 63 for carrying beer and the like or to remove the microbia. The apparatus 1 comprises a control unit 2 for generating an electric signal including an audio frequency component, a transponder 3 including a coil 31 and a case 32 for housing the coil 31, and means for attaching the transponder 3 to an external wall of the carrier tube 63, and generates an audio electronic signal to be sent through the carrier tube 63 by applying the electric signal to the coil 31.

  • Publication number: 20020107749
Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a network-based method for a user to automatically create a paralleling switchgear system using a product configurator system. The product configurator system is software based and resides on a server and accesses a database storing specific manufacturing requirements of the paralleling switchgear system. The user configures a paralleling switchgear system by using the product configurator to specify system information, an engine generator configuration, and a distributor breaker configuration. The user can lookup a quotation and modify it or can generate a new quotation. The product configurator generates drawings and a price quote based on the user configuration.

  • Publication number: 20020007605
Abstract: The movable manufacturing facility brings standard size home building comprehensively within a controlled factory environment. The main structure of the movable manufacturing facility is sufficiently tall to allow assembly and movement of standard size homes within. Multiple independent production lines are established to each produce portions of the dwelling in the form of subassemblies. Finishes, cabinets, appliances, roofs, paint, etc. are installed in the partially completed dwellings prior to houses leaving the production floor. The movable manufacturing facility allows a standard size home under construction to be advanced via a transport element from one production line to the next until complete. The completed homes are subsequently transported on the transport element over a controlled access roadway to individual sites with pre-constructed foundations specifically designed to accept these standard size dwellings.

  • Patent number: 6178695
Abstract: A convertible window system having two window sashes, a weatherstripping, and a tilt pivot assembly. The window system can be readily switched between single-hung and double-hung configuration. The weatherstripping assembly, which is operatively connected to each of the two sashes, has a number of regions. Each of these regions has different attributes which determine the types of translations and rotations that can be performed on a sash with a predetermined force. In a preferred embodiment, an upper sash can be removed from a window frame by the application of a predetermined force on the top of the sash while the sash is within a predetermined range of the weatherstripping assembly without the need for withdrawing guide pins from the channel of the weatherstripping assembly.

  • Patent number: 5757309
Abstract: An iterative process to determine the wavelet function and combination of ales of the function which provides data where there is a large separability compared to the separability of the data set prior to processing. Wavelets are selected for inclusion in a library in accordance with predetermined criteria and then applied to a digitized signal by convolution to perform digital filtering. The convolution of each wavelet is performed for the number of times dictated by the coefficients of the wavelet for each of the input signal samples. Separability of the wavelet implemented digital filtration is calculated as a percentage for each wavelet. The separation data is stored in memory until the iterative process is applied to all wavelets. The separability data is then examined to identify the wavelet producing the greatest separation. The data separability is estimated using a likelihood ratio after the probability densities for each of two sets of profile data are estimated.
