  • Publication number: 20030003927
Abstract: An audio calling name and calling number delivery method is disclosed. When a call is made from a calling party telephone to a called party telephone, a message is sent from an originating service switching point (SSP) associated with the calling party telephone to a terminating mobile switching center (MSC) associated with the wireless called party telephone. Typically, the message comprises the directory number of the calling party telephone. A wireless trigger is tripped at the terminating MSC and, in response, a query is sent to a service control point (SCP). A home location register (HLR) associated with the wireless telephone is queried to determine whether the wireless telephone is available. If the wireless telephone is available, then a name and a number associated with the calling party telephone is forwarded to a service node. The service node places a call to the wireless telephone and an audio annunciation of the name and the number is played to the called party.

  • Publication number: 20030002645
Abstract: A Service Control Point (SCP) has a call list associated with the main telephone number of a called party. When a calling party attempts to contact the called party by calling the main number, but cannot reach the main number, a Service Switching Point (SSP) fires a trigger. One trigger is a T_No_Answer trigger, which is fired in response to a call to the main number that is not answered within a predefined number of rings. Another trigger is a T_Busy trigger that is fired in response to a call to the main number that is made when the main number is busy. Each trigger causes the SCP to access the call list and to cause the SSP to ring an alternative telephone number associated with the main telephone number. If this attempt to reach the called party also fails, then the SSP again fires the trigger and an attempt is made to connect the calling party to the next number on the call list.

  • Patent number: 6233566
Abstract: An online centralized financial products exchange system. The invention is a system, method and computer program product that creates a “marketplace” for end-to-end financial products life cycle transactions. More particularly, the invention provides a centralized exchange system for the trading of loans. The system includes a plurality of Web servers for receiving and providing loan information from and to subscribers on several Web clients and a database server for searching the pre-set rules to match potential buyers with sellers. The system also includes a database for storing information relating to negotiations (i.e., bidding) for the sale of loans and for storing pre-set rules for pre-registered buyers and sellers. The system further includes a database and server for storing risk/return information that is made available to subscribers for analysis.

  • Patent number: 5695378
Abstract: An electron emitter plate (110) for an FED image display has an extraction (gate) electrode (22) spaced by a dielectric insulating spacer (125) from a cathode electrode including a conductive mesh (18). Arrays (12) of microtips (14) are located in mesh spacings (16), within apertures (26) formed in clusters (23) in extraction electrode (22). Microtips (14) are deposited through the apertures (26). The insulating spacer (125) is etched to undercut electrode (22) to connect apertures, forming a common cavity (141) for microtips (14) within each mesh spacing (16). Support beam structures (143) are deposited onto extraction electrode (22), either separately or simultaneously with formation of the microtips (14). The support beam structures (143) span the cavity (141) to support the extraction electrode (22) above the cathode electrode over cavity (141). The etch-out reduces the dielectric constant factor of gate-to-cathode capacitance in the finished structure.

  • Patent number: 5392601
Abstract: An exhaust system for an internal combustion engine includes a conduit in fluid communication with a combustion chamber for transferring exhaust gases from the combustion chamber. The exhaust system also includes a port disposed along the conduit for admitting supplemental air into the conduit so that the supplemental air combines with the exhaust gases and flows immediately in a direction downstream from the combustion chamber to draw the exhaust gases from the combustion chamber and to increase combustion of the exhaust gases.

  • Patent number: 4398259
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for diagnosing faults in individual cylinders of an internal combustion engine. An engine (12) is accelerated, while an analyzer (10) provides measurements of the time intervals required for the engine to rotate for successive, equal angular increments as the engine is being accelerated, where each increment is a fraction of the rotation required for a single engine cylinder power contribution. The values of the resulting sequence of time interval measurements generally undulate with time about an average value due to the power contribution of each individual cylinder, with the average value of the time interval measurements and the magnitude of the undulations about this average value generally decreasing with time due to the acceleration of the engine. The analyzer (10) modifies the time interval measurements in the sequence so as to provide a modified sequence having a substantially constant average value and substantially constant magnitude of undulation.
