The engagement plate may be adapted to be located between a column tube of a steering column assembly and the telescope plate. The engagement plate and the telescope plate have one or more features for engaging with or contacting each other to provide energy absorption during an impact exceeding a threshold load. These features may include one or more projections or protrusions, one or more slots, one or more ribs, or a combination.

Abstract: A client device installed with a client application having a graphical user interface (GUI) may be configured to (i) at a given time during a runtime session of the client application, identify a set of GUI elements within the GUI of the client application that is to be represented in a generic visualization of the GUI, (ii) generate a dataset that encodes the generic visualization of the GUI, wherein the generated dataset comprises a respective data structure for each GUI element in the identified set that encodes information for rendering a generic representation of the GUI element, and (iii) after generating the dataset that encodes the generic visualization of the GUI, transmit the generated dataset that encodes the generic visualization of the GUI to a back-end platform associated with a provider of the client application.

Abstract: An approach to sensor data is based on scenes. One aspect concerns a computer-implemented method for specifying and obtaining a variety of sensor data and processed sensor data related to a scene. The method incorporates a Scene-based API that uses SceneModes and SceneData. An application requesting sensor data communicates a SceneMode to a group of one or more sensor devices and/or sensor modules via the Scene-based API. The SceneMode determines the SceneData to be captured or provided by the sensor group, which typically includes different types of sensor data related to the Scene and also further processed or analyzed data. The application receives the SceneData from the sensor group via the Scene-based API, with the SceneData organized into SceneShots which are samples of the Scene.

The electronic device may also include image processing circuitry that generates the dithered image data based on input image data and a threshold gray level that is greater than one. Generating the dithered image data may include replacing each gray level of the input image data that is less than the threshold gray level with either a zero gray level or the threshold gray level according to a dither pattern.

Abstract: A mote includes an optical receiver that wirelessly receives a power and data signal in form of NIR light energy within a patient and converts the NIR light energy to an electrical signal having a supply voltage. A control module supplies the supply voltage to power devices of the mote. A clock generation circuit locks onto a target clock frequency based on the power and data signal and generates clock signals. A data recovery circuit sets parameters of one of the devices based on the power and data signal and a first clock signal. An amplifier amplifies a neuron signal detected via an electrode inserted in tissue of the patient. A chip identifier module, based on a second clock signal, generates a recorded data signal based on a mote chip identifier and the neuron signal. A driver transmits the recorded data signal via a LED or a RF transmitter.

Abstract: A method for identification and distribution of a personalized image. As disclosed, the method involves a processing server receiving an image request from a web server. The image request includes at least a device identifier and an originating address. The processing server electronically transmits a data request to a computing device associated with the device identifier, and receives a data file from the computing device. The data file includes one or more data values associated with an electronic wallet. The processing server executes a query to identify an image file based on the data values included in the received data file. Additionally, the processing server electronically transmits the identified image file to the web server in response to the received image request.

Abstract: In various examples, latency of human interface devices (HIDs) may be accounted for in determining an end-to-end latency of a system. For example, when an input is received at an HID, an amount of time for the input to reach a connected device may be computed by the HID and included in a data packet transmitted by the HID device to the connected device. The addition of the peripheral latency to the end-to-end latency determination may provide a more comprehensive latency result for the system and, where the peripheral latency of an HID is determined to have a non-negligible contribution to the end-to-end latency, a new HID component may be implemented, a configuration setting associated with the HID component may be updated, and/or other actions may be taken to reduce the contribution of the peripheral latency to the overall latency of the system.
