    Abstract: A conveyor system comprising a conveyor extending from a first food product entry end to a second food product discharge end, including at least one drive roller, and a sensor for detecting the presence of a food product upon the conveyor for generating a signal to the drive roller so as to commence the drive of the conveyor, and for terminating the drive of the drive roller after a predetermined time period. In addition, a tensioning system is provided for the conveyor whereby the conveyor belt will be placed under tension or not under tension so that the conveyor belt can be easily installed or removed when the conveyor belt needs to be replaced, repaired, or cleaned.
