  • Patent number: 11943826
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention relates to a method of establishing a secure vehicle network including a plurality of nodes, each of the plurality of nodes including a memory storing a leader/follower field, the method includes establishing a communication path between a first node with a value corresponding to “leader” in the leader/follower field and a second node with a value corresponding to leader in the leader/follower field; and communicating between the first node and the second node over the communication path to establish the secure vehicle network by electing one of the first node and the second node to assign a value corresponding to “follower” to the leader/follower field.

  • Publication number: 20220131839
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system includes a first controller configured to generate a network key and transform the network key and a second controller configured to obtain the transformed network key and form a network with the first controller, each of the first controller and the second controller being configured to generate a same symmetric key using the network key and values from the other of the first controller and second controller.

  • Publication number: 20080040550
Abstract: The present invention provides for a method and an apparatus for accessing a directory server. The directory server has information stored therein. A caching daemon establishes a first plurality of connections to the directory server. The caching daemon determines if an application is requesting information from the directory server over a second connection between the caching daemon and the application, and determines if the requested information is stored in a data cache within the caching daemon in response to determining that the application has requested information. If the requested information resides within the data cache, the caching daemon forwards the requested information to the application over the second connection. If the requested information is not present within the data cache, the caching daemon accesses the requested information from the directory server over one of the first plurality of connections.

  • Publication number: 20020117122
Abstract: A domestic gas storage water heater utilizes a plastic non pressure tank to deliver mains pressure hot water. The heater may be external or internal of the tank and has a heat out put of about 4-10 Mega joules per hour. A pressure transfer module uses the mains pressure of the incoming cold water to deliver hot water from the tank at mains pressure. The tank may be of larger storage capacity than conventional gas heaters and the arrangement ensures that the heated water in the tank is stratified into layers of different temperature. This enables an uninterrupted supply of hot water to be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6061433
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method in an automated telephone system for obtaining data from sources other than the caller's answer to menu queries and directing incoming calls directly to preferred applications instead of to an introductory menu. In one embodiment, a statistical engine measures individual customer usage and stores the results in a usage history database. An inference engine then prioritizes the available applications based on past usage. When an individual customer next calls, the server can either request account and PIN numbers or trap ANI/DNIS data from the public telephone system in order to identify the individual customer. Once the customer is identified, the server branches directly to that individual customer's preferred applications. The log-in history includes time and place of call-in so that an aberrant usage alarm may be triggered by the automated telephone system that alerts customers to any unusual accesses to their personal accounts.
