  • Patent number: 12167076
Abstract: A client device accesses a video input stream from an intermediate device for display. The client device analyzes the video input stream to determine that the video input stream matches a template corresponding to a screen portion. Based on the video input stream matching the template, a video output stream is generated and caused to be presented on a display. In some example embodiments, the analysis is performed while the client device is replacing video content received from a content source via the intermediate device. For example, commercials transmitted from a national content provider to a smart TV via a set-top box may be replaced with targeted commercials. During the replacement, menus generated by the set-top box may be detected and the replacement video altered by the smart TV to include the menus.

  • Patent number: 12039690
Abstract: A method for processing a stream of input images is described. A stream of input images that are from an image sensor is received. The stream comprises an initial sequence of input images including a subject having an initial orientation. A change in an angular orientation of the image sensor while receiving the stream of input images is determined. In response to determining the change in the angular orientation, a subsequent sequence of input images of the stream of input images is processed for rotation to counteract the change in the angular orientation of the image sensor and maintain the subject in the initial orientation. The stream of input images is transmitted to one or more display devices.

  • Publication number: 20110010074
Abstract: A method for controlling the start of combustion and peak burn rate of an internal combustion engine system on a cycle-to-cycle basis including multiple direct fuel injectors, multiple indirect fuel injectors, and multiple liquid fuels. The actual start of combustion and actual peak burn rate are calculated using in-cylinder pressure or ionization. A predetermined start of combustion and a predetermined peak burn rate are selected. The start of combustion and peak burn rate control algorithm includes controlling a fuel ratio, an injection ratio, and a residual gas recirculation ratio. A predetermined fuel ratio, a predetermined injection ratio, and a predetermined residual gas recirculation are calculated by combining feed forward ratios and closed loop control ratios corresponding to the three ratios. The predetermined ratios are employed so that the system achieves the predetermined start of combustion and predetermined peak burn rate.

  • Patent number: 7840458
Abstract: A method and apparatus for collecting information about an event in which a user accesses the Internet through the system of a first Internet Service Provider with whom the user does not have an account. The apparatus includes a first server that creates a record of the user's Internet usage and sends the record to a second server. The second server collects records from a plurality of Internet Service Providers and forwards the records to a third server on a regular basis. The third server processes the data in the plurality of records and generates a report showing how much money the first Internet Service Provider is owed for allowing the user to access the Internet through the system of the first Internet Service Provider.
