Patent number: 7087653Abstract: A gas-to-liquid (GTL) process and system for converting a natural gas) into liquid hydrocarbons (e.g. diesel, naphtha, distillates, etc.) wherein the equipment subsystems from existing gas-to-methanol plants are re-utilized in the (GTL) process. The syngas generator from the methanol plant is used to generate syngas in the present process. The syngas is then adjusted to remove CO2 and H2 before the syngas is passed through a Fischer-Tropsch (FT) reactor to convert the syngas to liquid hydrocarbons. The FT reactor is comprised of the same equipment that was use previously to convert syngas into methanol except for the respective catalysts. The liquid hydrocarbons are then upgraded and separated into individual hydrocarbon products.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2004Date of Patent: August 8, 2006Assignee: World GTL, Inc.Inventors: Peter J. A. Tijm, David Loring, Leigh Takeo Noda

Patent number: 6115839Abstract: Enhanced barrier protection for rear closure surgical gowns is provided by improved garment pattern design. The surgical gown of the present invention is formed from a garment blank having a first part, a center part and a second part wherein the first part and the second part are joined to the center part. The first part includes a pair of side edges spaced apart by a bottom edge. The second part includes a pair of side edges spaced apart by an upper edge. The upper edge of the second part is of greater length than the bottom edge of the first part. Portions of the center part define a neck opening. The side edges of the second part extend inwardly from the upper edge towards the center part. A slit, defined by edges in the second part, extends from the upper edge to the neck opining. In this way, when joining the side edges of the first and second parts to from the surgical gown, portions of the second part near the edges defining the slit overlap.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1994Date of Patent: September 12, 2000Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: David Loring Covington, Richard Howard Bell

Patent number: 5724674Abstract: Improved material utilization and barrier protection for surgical sleeves is provided by improved garment pattern design and methods of assembly. The surgical sleeve of the present invention is formed from a single sheet of material. By folding the sheet of material, a reinforcing layer integral with a sleeve layer is formed. A dual layered sleeve having two integral sleeve layers is also formed by folding a single sheet of material. One of the sleeve layers of the dual layered sleeve may be folded so as to form a reinforcing layer integral with said sleeve layer.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1996Date of Patent: March 10, 1998Assignee: Kimberly-Clark CorporationInventors: David Loring Covington, David James Alexander
