Abstract: The aspects herein relate to the field of fall prevention systems, and more specifically to fall arrest systems for storage bins and more particularly to grain bins or silos. In one aspect, a fall prevention system for a ladder may have an anchor plate coupled to a roof. In another aspect, the fall prevention system for the ladder may have an anchor bar coupled to at least a portion of the ladder. A rope is coupled at one end to the anchor plate or bar and at the other end to at least one rung of the ladder using a fastener. A rope grab is slidably coupled to the rope between the anchor plate or bar and the fastener.

Abstract: A window or door limiting device is described having a striker assembly mounted on a window sash or door panel and a corresponding limiting assembly mounted on an adjacent window sash or door panel. The limiting assembly selectively engages the striker assembly with a rotary element to restrict movement of at least one of the first or second window sash or door panel relative to the other of the first or second window sash or door panel. The rotary element is rotatable to selectively engage or disengage the striker assembly to correspondingly restrict movement of one or more of the window sashes or door panels.

Abstract: A limiter system includes a base including a pin. A rocker is rotatably and translationally coupled with the pin. The rocker includes a first end including an abutment feature, a second end including a reset feature, and a slot including first and second slot ends and a slot track therebetween. The pin is translationally and rotatably received in the slot, and the pin is translational between the first and second slot ends. The rocker is configured for positioning between a first abutting position and a second resetting position. In the first abutting position, the abutment feature extends away from the base. In the second resetting position, the reset feature extends away from the base, and the abutment feature is nearer to the base than the reset feature.

Abstract: A window opening control assembly that includes a first member for attachment to one of a sash or a window frame. The first member includes a locking assembly. The window opening control assembly further includes a second member for attachment to the other of the sash or the window frame. The second member includes a flexible element that extends to the first member. The flexible element is secured by the locking assembly such that the flexible element is fed from the second member as the second member is moved away from the first member until the flexible element is anchored within the second element and the second element is correspondingly restrained from moving further away from the first member. The locking assembly is selectively unlocked to permit removal of the flexible element from the locking assembly and permit continued movement of the second member away from the first member.

Abstract: A caster assembly with a horizontally orientated arm is attached to a base plate of a rack during a travel state and a stored state. A leveling foot with a flat portion and a non-flat portion is inserted through a slot on the arm and a hole on the base plate such that during the travel state, the horizontal orientated arm is in a fully extended position, and during the stored state, the horizontal orientated arm is in a non-extended position.

Abstract: A novel caster assembly with a horizontally orientated arm is attached to a base plate of a rack during a travel state and a stored state. Abstract: A controlled atmosphere package for respiring fruits and vegetables, particularly for bananas, is disclosed. The package has a convex outer wall and an atmosphere control element that comprises at least one hole in the container bottom which is placed close to the wall opposite the convex wall. A selective gas-permeable membrane is attached to the container bottom in such a way that the atmosphere control element is hermetically covered by the membrane.

Abstract: The invention turns a hurricane/tropical cyclone into a tropical rainstorm by spraying a super coolant such as liquid oxygen, or liquid hydrogen, or liquid nitrogen, or other super cold liquid gas around the top of the eye wall and additionally if needed, into the front of the eye wall using aircraft with pre-measured amounts of super coolant. Based on actual results, a real time computer system will be developed to enable communications between aircraft and control the amount of super coolant dispersed. The result of the invention will reduce/eliminate the damage to life and property due to high winds and storm surge as well as the staggering costs for rebuilding.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for protecting a computer system from array reliability failures uses Array Built-In Self-Test logic along with code and hardware to delete cache lines or sets that are defective, identify corresponding fuse repair values, proactively call home if spare fuses are not available, schedule soft fuse repairs for the next system restart, schedule line deletes at the next restart, store delete and fuse repairs in a table (tagged with electronic serial id, timestamp of delete or ABIST fail event, address, and type of failure) and proactively call home if there were any missed deletes that were not logged. Fuse information can also be more permanently stored into hardware electronic fuses and/or EPROMs. During a restart, previous repairs are able to be applied to the machine so that ABIST will run successfully and previous deletes to be maintained with checking to allow some ABIST failures which are protected by the line deletes to pass.

Abstract: A computing system is provided which includes a processor having a cache memory. The cache memory includes a plurality of independently configurable subdivisions, each subdivision including a memory array. A service element (SE) of the computing system is operable to cause a built-in-self-test (BIST) to be executed to test the cache memory, the BIST being operable to determine whether any of the subdivisions is defective. When it is determined that one of the subdivisions of the cache memory determined defective by the BIST is non-repairable, the SE logically deletes the defective subdivision from the system configuration, and the SE is operable to permit the processor to operate without the logically deleted subdivision. The SE is further operable to determine that the processor is defective when a number of the defective subdivisions exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: A pluggable cartridge for inserting a circuit card into an enclosure without operator access to the enclosure interior is provided. The cartridge includes a top portion and a first wall configured to secure the circuit card thereon for movement in unison therewith and a second wall. The first and second walls have a bottom edge and a top edge wherein the top edge of the first wall is movably secured to the top portion. The top edge of the second wall is removably secured to the top portion by snap-fit means. The circuit card is housed within and protected by the first and second walls so as to be moveable with respect to the bottom edge of the second wall. A tail stock bezel is removably secured by snap-fit means at one end of the second wall and top portion. A handle is movably connected to the top portion so as to be movable between a first position and a second position.

Abstract: A tool for attaching and removing threaded fittings of the type typically used to attach hoses, such as hydraulic hoses, characterized by an extended longitudinal body which is open along a length of the body to accept a hose which has a fitting on it. An adaptor is mounted on an end of the body. The adaptor accepts and rotates a fastener which is part of the hose fitting, such as a six point fastener. The adaptor has an open portion to accept the hose. The opposite end of the body accepts a drive tool, such as a ratchet or a pneumatic wrench.

Abstract: A tool for attaching and removing threaded fittings of the type typically used to attach hoses, such as hydraulic hoses, characterized by an extended longitudinal body which is open along a length of the body to accept a hose. The body has an end which will accept and rotate a fastener which is part of the hose fitting, such as a six point fastener, with this end having an open portion to accept the hose. The opposite end of the body will accept a drive tool, such as a ratchet or a pneumatic wrench.
