  • Publication number: 20240078805
Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) node location and activation technique for use in an AR system in a process plant or other field environment quickly and easily detects an AR node in a real-world environment and is then able to activate an AR scene within the AR system, which improves the usability and user experience of the AR system. The AR node location and activation system generally enables users to connect to and view an AR scene within an AR system or platform even when the user is not directly at an existing AR node, when the user is experiencing poor lighting conditions in the real-world environment and in situations in which the user is unfamiliar with the AR nodes that are in the AR system database.

  • Patent number: 10882225
Abstract: A system for the continuous extrusion, molding, and curing of tread for tires. An elongated strip of rubber material can be molded and cured shortly after extrusion such that the material retains much of the heat energy of extrusion and does not have to be stored. A plurality of discrete mold assemblies are conveyed adjacent to each other. As the mold assemblies are advanced sequentially, the uncured and unmolded strip of rubber material are extruded and positioned onto the mold assemblies. While the rubber strip advances, individual portions are sequentially molded and cured by passing through a mold press and then a curing press. A plug assembly is used to prevent the backflow of rubber material during the molding and curing.

  • Patent number: 10493711
Abstract: A system for the continuous extrusion, molding, and curing of tread rubber is provided. A plurality of discrete mold sectors are arranged adjacent to each other along a longitudinal axis between an in-feed and an out-feed of a mold sector transport mechanism that extends through a heated press. As the mold sectors are continuously advanced along a process direction in steps, rubber material is extruded and placed onto at least one of the mold sectors near the in-feed end such that an elongated strip of rubber material extends over multiple mold sectors along the longitudinal axis. As the strip of rubber material exits the press, the mold sectors are sequentially removed from the rubber material and returned to the in-feed. An extruder outlet positioned near the in-feed can be moved towards or away from the mold sectors to supply rubber material and prevent backflow.

  • Patent number: 6237602
Abstract: An force generator includes an elongate force generator body that has a longitudinal dimension and has a fluid chamber defined therein. The force generator body exhibits a dimensional extension responsive to an increase in fluid in the fluid chamber and a dimensional retraction responsive to a decrease in fluid in the fluid chamber. A restraint apparatus channels the dimensional extension/retraction into the longitudinal dimension and restrains dimensional extension in a dimension transverse thereto.
