  • Publication number: 20220313481
Abstract: A temperature management system is configured to control a temperature of a patient's body using a heat exchange device. The temperature management system is configured to deliver temperature management treatment or therapy to a patient. A user interface of the system is configured to display operational data and patient data on the user interface in a configuration that allows a user to determine or review one or more periods of the performed temperature management treatment.

  • Patent number: 5786514
Abstract: A process for alkoxylating phenols is disclosed. The process comprises reacting a carbonyl-functionalized phenol with an alkylene oxide in the presence of a substantially non-crystalline double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst. The process offers fast reaction times at low catalyst levels, reduced problems with condensation side reactions, and low-color, low-viscosity, low-polydispersity alkoxylated phenols. The process enables efficient preparation of alkoxylated carbonyl-functonalized phenols that are especially valuable in the surfactant industry.

  • Patent number: 4708918
Abstract: A battery element useful as at least a portion of the positive plates in a lead-acid battery comprises: an acid resistant substrate at least partially coated with an electrically conductive coating; and a fluid impervious matrix layer having mutually opposing first and second surfaces situated such that at least a portion of the coated substrate is embedded in the matrix layer which comprises polymer having increased polarity relative to polypropylene. This battery element may also be used in the bipolar plates of a lead-acid battery.

  • Patent number: 4105637
Abstract: A process for producing a polyacetal polymer. The process includes reacting a polyacetal forming polymerization mixture in a polymerization reaction zone, which zone includes an elongated casing substantially following the outer boundaries of at least a pair of shafts, each of the shafts provided with a plurality of intermeshing elliptical shaped plates having flattened edges at the major axis which mesh, wiping the surface of its mating plate. The polymerization mixture is polymerized to form a polyacetal product in the form of a finely divided solid.
