  • Publication number: 20160153278
Abstract: A temporary roof support system of a roof bolter machine is provided. The temporary roof support system includes a multistage cover assembly, a sliding assembly, a guiding assembly and a first actuator. The sliding assembly is coupled to the multistage cover assembly. The guiding assembly is coupled to a boom of the roof bolter machine, and is configured to guide the sliding assembly in a predetermined direction. A first end of the first actuator is coupled to the guiding assembly by a first pivot joint, and a second end of the first actuator is coupled to the multistage cover assembly by a second pivot joint. An extension of the first actuator along the length translates the multistage cover assembly in the predetermined direction, by guiding of the sliding assembly by the guiding assembly in the predetermined direction.

  • Publication number: 20160102552
Abstract: A temporary roof support system with an anti-rotation feature is provided. The temporary roof support system includes a base, a multistage hydraulic cylinder, a multistage telescopic cover assembly and a locking tube assembly. The multistage telescopic cover assembly encompasses the multistage hydraulic cylinder, and includes a first plurality of cylinders of successively differing diameters disposed coaxially. The locking, tube assembly includes a second plurality of cylinders disposed coaxially and of successively differing diameters including an outermost cylinder and an innermost cylinder. The second pivot end of the locking tube assembly is coupled to the crossbar and the first pivot end of the locking tube assembly is coupled to the base, and a length of the locking tube assembly is parallel to the vertical axis.

  • Patent number: 8985701
Abstract: An exhaust system is disclosed for use with a cold planer. The exhaust system may have an inlet manifold located downstream of a milling drum and above a material conveyor. The inlet manifold may be configured to receive dust and fumes generated by the milling drum. The exhaust system may also include at least one inlet passage located at a side of the material conveyor and gravitationally lower than the inlet manifold. The at least one inlet passage may be configured to receive dust and fumes generated by the milling drum. The exhaust system may further include a ventilator in fluid communication with the inlet manifold and the at least one inlet passage. The ventilator may be configured to draw the dust and fumes from the inlet manifold and the at least one inlet passage.
