The system minimizes the requirements for clean rinse water, and the need for emptying contaminated rinse tanks with associated recovery and disposal environmental and cost issues. The low cost system is flexible and the process is adapted to the material and process requirements of the plating line.

    Abstract: A method and circuit (14) for monitoring an electroplating operation of an electroplating machine (10) of the type having a first electroplating cell (18) for depositing nickel onto an integrated circuit leadframe (12) and a second electroplating cell (19) for subsequently depositing palladium onto the leadframe (12). A first current (30) is applied in the first electroplating cell (18) to form a nickel deposit on the leadframe (12) and a second current (31) is applied in the second electroplating cell (19) to from a palladium deposit on the nickel deposit. The second current (31) is greater than the first current (30) if the electroplating machine (10) is operating normally. The first current (30) and second current (31) are compared in a comparator (44) during the electroplating operation, and if the second current (31) is less than the first current (30), an error signal is generated on an output line (50). If desired, the electroplating machine (10) may be stopped in response to the error signal.

    Abstract: A carbonated beverage bottle handle, pour and storage device comprises bottle top, flapper, handle and actuator portions. The bottle top portion defines a spout screwed to a bottle. The handle portion is fixed to the bottle top portion, and is gripped for holding a bottle. The actuator portion is squeezable toward the handle portion. The flapper portion is joined to the actuator portion and positioned over the spout to be lifted to and from the bottle top portion, to allow liquid to be poured. A stopper is attached to the flapper portion such that lifting the flapper portion lifts the stopper, opening the top of the attached bottle. A screw-threaded, segmented collar welded in the bottle top portion forms female threads for screwing to the bottle. The stopper includes a dome and an annular outer wall, and defines an interior within the annular outer wall. The dome and all of the stopper are formed of material which is flexible in the range of pressures exerted by carbonated beverages.

    Abstract: An improved dispensing container for articles with the container having a lower, generally cylindrical receptacle rotatably interconnected to a cover, the cover and the receptacle form a chamber for containing the articles. An opening, sized for the passage of the articles therethrough, is formed in the cover. The lower receptacle also has an upward extending interior wall which forms at least a portion of a boundary wall of a blank cell closed to the intrusion of the articles within the chamber. The opening is positioned on the cover to move into and out of registration with the cell upon rotation of the cover relative to the receptacle, wherein upon registration between the cell and the opening, the articles are prevented from being dispensed from the chamber.
