  • Patent number: 12578994
Abstract: A request to transition a computing system from a first state to a second state is received, and a respective manifest is compiled for each of a plurality of processors of the computing system. Each manifest comprises a transition identifier representing a command to transition from the first state to the second state and an action time for executing one or more operations associated with the transition identifier. The respective manifests are dispatched to the plurality of processors, and status reports are received from the plurality of processors regarding the transition from the first state to the second state.

  • Publication number: 20250377707
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to managing power efficiency in devices. In various embodiments, an active driver system determines power states of device components based on operational state transitions detected by drivers executing within a first system-on-chip (SoC). The system involves activating or deactivating components integrated within a second SoC based on the power needs ascertained by the corresponding drivers managing the components. The system also involves activating or deactivating the second SoC based on the power states of the components integrated within the second SoC. The drivers provide instructions to manage power states dynamically, allowing for the conservation of energy by deactivating components when not required.
