  • Patent number: 7665196
Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing a multi-frequency surface acoustic wave (SAW) device on a common piezoelectric substrate. The method features varying the resonant frequency of waveguide elements of the SAW device using a single etch step. The etch step removes a sub-portion of multiple layers of conductive film disposed on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 7643867
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, fiducial marker devices, tools, and methods. One example illustrates a combined computed tomography (CT) imagable fiducial locator head, an integral bone screw, and an integral divot for receiving a positioning wand of an image-guided surgical (IGS) workstation. A further example includes a fluid/gel-absorbing coating or cover into which a magnetic resonance (MR) imagable fluid is introduced, thereby permitting both CT and MR imaging. Protective caps and collars may be used to protect the fiducial marker from mechanical impact and/or to guide the fiducial marker during affixation. A bull's-eye or other template is used to select a center of a substantially spherical fiducial marker head on an image, such as for use during patient registration.

  • Publication number: 20090193164
Abstract: An enhanced general input/output communication architecture, protocol and related methods are presented. In one embodiment, a method for an enhanced general input/output communication architecture includes initializing a flow control mechanism within an general input/output (GIO) interface associated with a virtual channel upon initialization of the virtual channel, and tracking receive buffer availability in a remote GIO interface coupled with the GIO interface by the virtual channel by monitoring an indication associated with an amount of content transmitted from the GIO interface to the remote GIO interface.

  • Publication number: 20090162516
Abstract: An improvement in water-soluble polysaccharide films, such as pullulan films, by inclusion of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) in the film is disclosed herein. The films exhibit surprisingly improved physical properties such as tear strength, and retain good water-solubility. The films optionally include other additives such as gelatin, plasticizers, and surfactants. Methods of making the films include first dissolving the polysaccharide polymer, such as pullulan, in water, heating the solution, next admixing gelatin, then CMC, and then optional ingredients including plasticizers and more water if desired.

Abstract: A product package comprises a primary package formed within a secondary package. The primary package comprises an edible or non-edible, water-soluble film container. The secondary package comprises a blister-card having at least one blister defining a cavity, and a foil backing. In one embodiment, the film container comprises a first film layer portion and a second film layer portion. The first film layer portion is formed intimately within the cavity of the at least one blister of the blister-pack. • Patent number: 7184399
Abstract: A requesting device and a completer device are coupled via a high-speed serial interface within a computer system. The requesting device transmits a packet for a request transaction to a completer device. The completer device checks for error conditions in the course of servicing the request. If an error condition is found then the completer device transmits a completion packet with a completion status of something other than successful. The completion packet includes a completer identification field. The requesting device records the completer identification value and indicates in a register that a completion packet has been received with a non-successful completion status.

  • Patent number: 7152128
Abstract: An enhanced general input/output communication architecture, protocol and related methods are presented. In one embodiment, a method is described comprising receiving a datagram at general input/output (GIO) interface from a remote GIO interface coupled through a GIO link, validating content of one or more packets embedded within the received datagram, and issuing an acknowledgment to the remote GIO interface that the datagram was successfully received on positive validation of the datagram before promoting the embedded packets to a transaction layer of the GIO interface. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Patent number: 7013360
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system is disclosed having a first device, a second device, and two sets of bi-directional buses that couple the first and second devices. The devices are to perform transactions with each other over the buses, such that each set of buses has a dominant, but not exclusive, direction, for sending transaction information and data, that is opposite the other. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
