Patent number: 10860989Abstract: A method is provided for supporting maintenance of a fleet of vehicles with intuitive display of repair analytics. The method includes receiving a user request for repair analytics for the fleet of vehicles via a GUI that includes a first frame with a date-range filter to enable the user to select a date range for the repair analytics. The method includes interpreting the user request to produce a query of dataset(s) for the fleet, and executing the query for data of the vehicles. The datasets include an in-service time and repair costs for the vehicles, and the data includes the same over the date range. The method includes determining, and generating a chart in a second frame of the GUI that graphically illustrates, a moving average repair cost per unit of in-service time for a plurality of time periods within the date range from the in-service time and repair costs.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2020Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: David M. Patent number: 10584824Abstract: A folding base has a hinge body, and a stand emanates vertically from adjacent a center of the hinge body. A plurality of legs radiate from the hinge body and provide ground contact. Between and pivotally coupling each leg to the hinge body is one of a plurality of torque hinges, so that individual ones of the legs are rotationally coupled to the hinge body through a torque generating member. Preferably the torque required to pivot a leg with respect to the hinge body is greater than that generated solely by lifting a leg from the ground or supporting surface. The torque hinge may also be knurled to permit a secure and permanent press fit to the associated leg and the hinge body.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Inventors: Jeffrey A. Patent number: 4055002Abstract: Portable apparatus for drying wet footballs. The apparatus comprises a housing supported on wheels and including a drying chamber for receipt of a wet football therein. The drying chamber includes a pair of concave contoured moisture absorbent rollers. The rollers are disposed parallel to one another and spaced apart by sufficient distance that a football can be placed within the space between the rollers and supported thereon. A motor is coupled through pulley means to effect the rotation of the rollers in the same direction but at different speeds. The frictional engagement between one of the rollers and the ball causes the ball to rotate at a different speed than the speed of rotation of the other rollers to effect the rubbing action between the ball and the other roller thereby wiping the surface of the ball. A spring biased hold down roller is provided to hold the ball in place during the rotation thereof by the first and second rollers.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1976Date of Patent: October 25, 1977Inventors: David M.
