    Abstract: A system for tracking train assets is disclosed. The tracking system may include an image capture device configured to collect an image data set of a train asset and an area surrounding the train asset. Furthermore, the image data set may be associated with a time stamp and in one non-limiting example, the time stamp provides a collection time of the image data set. In some embodiments, a controller may be configured to receive the image data set and to perform an analysis of the image data set and the analysis provides a track location of the train asset and an identification of the train asset.

The status notification may relate to the operational health of the mobile machine or a subsystem of the mobile machine. The status notification may be generated by the notification system when the mobile machine enters the geo-fence and received by a user.

The controller is configured to receive an input command, in the GUI, to select a desired asset from the list of assets for requesting information about health of the desired asset. The controller is configured to display, in the GUI, a visual representation of the desired asset, along with the sub-assets, in response to the input command. The controller is configured to flag, in the GUI, the sub-assets in the visual representation of the desired asset based on the health data of the sub-assets.

    Abstract: A diagnostic system associated with a train is provided. The train is in communication with a remote control station. The train includes a plurality of wagons and locomotives. A diagnostic module on-board the wagons generate a signal indicative of operational data and health data. A communication module on-board the slave rolling stock transmits the operational data and the health data associated with the slave rolling stock to the master control module. The master control module exchanges the operational data and the health data with another master control module located on the same train and another train; and forwards the operational data and the health data associated with the slave rolling stock and the master control module to the remote control station.

    Abstract: A method of managing notifications relating to at least one train asset is provided. The method includes receiving an information from the train asset and further analyzing the information received. The first set of notifications is generated based on the analysis of the information received. A second set of notifications is prepared from the first set of notifications by removing at least one notification based on a first predetermined set of rules, silencing at least one notification based on a second predetermined set of rules, cancelling at least one notification based on a third predetermined set of rules, and prioritizing at least one notification based on a fourth predetermined set of rules. Thereafter, the second set of notifications is displayed to the user. A number of notifications in the second set of notifications is less than a number of notifications in the first set of notifications.
