Abstract: An improved pipe protector installation device using a hydraulic piston with capacity of 2000 psi to transfer rubber pipe protectors onto transfer sleeves. The improved device uses a spider plate of multiple cooperating wedge shaped shoes with separate springs to surround the shaft holding the pipe protector. The improved device is smaller and lighter weight.
