  • Patent number: 8918469
Abstract: According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for sharing Diameter binding data. The method includes receiving, by a first Diameter signaling router (DSR), a first Diameter message requiring processing. The method also includes selecting, by the first DSR, a processing element to perform the required processing from a plurality of processing elements. The method further includes routing, by the first DSR, the received first Diameter message to the selected processing element. The method further includes creating, by the first DSR, a binding record associating the selected processing element with information associated with the received first Diameter message. The method further includes communicating, by the first DSR, the binding record to a second DSR.

  • Patent number: 8204052
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically coordinating collection and distribution of presence information are disclosed. According to one method, presence information is collected for a presentity. An event manager is selected from a plurality of event managers and is dynamically assigned to the presentity. The presence information is then communicated to the assigned event manager.

  • Patent number: 8149725
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for a hierarchical, redundant OAM&P architecture for use in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a system for managing an Internet protocol multimedia system (IMS) network. The system includes a network operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) entity for communicating with an operator's network, a system OAM&P entity associated with the network OAM&P entity, and at least one message processing entity associated with the system OAM&P entity for processing signaling information and for implementing at least one application. The system OAM&P entity receives OAM&P information from one or more message processing entities and communicates at least some of the received OAM&P information to the network OAM&P entity.

  • Patent number: 7929419
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for inhibiting message traffic to an unavailable terminating SIP server are disclosed. According to one method, at least one list of SIP servers accessible by a call session control function (CSCF) is maintained at an originating CSCF. The list includes at least one of availability and unavailability status information for the terminating SIP servers. A request is received to contact a destination via a one of the terminating SIP servers. The list is indexed and a first terminating SIP server is identified. If the first terminating SIP server is determined to be unavailable based on information in the list, a second terminating SIP server is identified using the list.
