  • Patent number: 8244200
Abstract: The disclosure provides a system, circuit and method for activating an electronic device from a low power state. The circuit comprises: a microprocessor; a first accelerometer; a second accelerometer which is activated upon receiving a movement signal from the first accelerometer, indicating a movement of the electronic device; a threshold circuit connected to an output of the second accelerometer to allow only signals generated by the second accelerometer that exceed a threshold to pass; an input device; and a monitoring circuit connected to the input device and an output of the threshold circuit. The monitoring circuit comprises a latch circuit utilizing signals from the threshold circuit and a reset signal from the microprocessor to generate a trigger signal to activate the input device. The monitoring circuit selectively generates an activation signal to activate the electronic device to a higher power state utilizing a notable signal received from the input device.

  • Publication number: 20120196506
Abstract: The invention discloses a slot car including a body, a power mechanism for driving the body, and an adjusting assembly for track switching of the body. The adjusting assembly includes a rotating component driven by the power mechanism, a guiding component fixed on the body, and multiple slot-pins. The guiding component includes a guide channel used for annular position limiting of the slot-pin and multiple position limiters used for longitudinal position limiting of the slot-pin, and the rotating of the rotating component enables the sliding of the slot-pin within the guide channel. The invention further provides a Multi-slot track combined raceway on which the slot car travels. With the adjusting assembly, the slot car is enabled to switch between tracks. The slot car is enabled to freely intercept its counterparts by switching tracks, thus the entertainment is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7903087
Abstract: Method an arrangement for facilitating the use of a trackball on a wireless handheld communication device as a navigation tool and a selection tool of designated information presented on a display screen of the device. A wireless handheld communication device is provided that has at a front face thereof a display screen located above a keyboard suitable for accommodating textual input. A depressible trackball functions as a navigation tool for moving a cursor about on the display screen when rolled and as a selection tool when sufficiently depressed. Cursor movement is affected by digitally engaging the trackball and maintaining the trackball in a navigation zone depth within the device. Selection of designated information is affected by depressing the trackball a predefined amount. The wireless handheld communication device is configured so that no cursor movement is affected by rolling movement of the trackball when in the selection zone.
