  • Patent number: 3942999
Abstract: Titanium dioxide pigments carrying diisopropanolamine have good dispersibility, minimum tendency to foaming, minimum retardation of drying time and develop high opacity without the requirement for the presence of water. Preferably, the pigments also carry one or more hydrous metal oxides, a phosphate and/or a silicate. The preferred method of manufacture of the pigmentary titanium dioxide is to dry mill the pigment in the presence of the diisopropanolamine.
