  • Publication number: 20100197214
Abstract: The present invention provides a cooling system, which is referred to herein as a slider vent, for dwellings or residences that have a sliding patio door or the like. In an embodiment of the invention, the slider vent occupies approximately six (6) inches of the sliding door track and uses two centrifugal fans to exhaust hot interior air within the dwelling directly to the exterior of the residence and draws in cooler exterior air from outside the dwelling via an adjacent open window. The electrical components within the unit are enclosed by an inner housing for consumer safety and to protect them from the elements, and ventilation flows through an assemblage of moveable shutters that remain closed when the fans are not in operation. The unit is powered by a household power source via a plug connected at the bottom of the unit on the interior side. The unit also has a variable speed control to adjust air flow, located in the center of the unit, also on the interior side.

  • Publication number: 20070158943
Abstract: A threaded connection including a pin member and a box member, and methods for manufacturing and forming said threaded connection. The pin member has a pin thread with a pin thread crest, a pin thread root, a pin load flank, and a pin stab flank. The box member has a box thread with a box thread crest, a box thread root, a box load flank, and a box stab flank. At least one of the pin thread crest, the pin load flank, the pin stab flank, the box thread crest, the box load flank, and the box stab flank has at least one perturbation formed thereon. Upon a selected make-up of the pin member with the box member, a reduced clearance gap exists between the pin thread and the box thread at the at least one perturbation.

  • Publication number: 20060220382
Abstract: A threaded connection includes a pin member providing a single external thread comprising a first external portion and a second external portion, a box member providing a single internal thread comprising a first internal portion and a second internal portion, and a radial metal-to-metal seal to seal between the pin member and the box member, wherein the first and second internal portions threadably correspond with the first and second external portions, and wherein the first internal and external portions are characterized by a first wedge ratio and the second internal and external portions are characterized by a second wedge ratio, wherein the first wedge ratio is less than the second wedge ratio.

  • Publication number: 20060145480
Abstract: A tubular connection is provided with a first thread on a first step having an initial makeup location and a second thread on a second step, the second thread being a wedge thread and having a selected clearance on stab and load flanks at the initial makeup location of the first thread.

  • Patent number: 7014212
Abstract: A threaded pipe connection includes a box member, a pin member and a wear indicator for the connection. The pin member has internal threads and the box member has external threads. The internal threads of the box member each increase in width in one direction, while the external threads of the pin member increase in width in the other direction so that the complementary internal and external threads move into engagement upon make-up of the connection.

  • Patent number: 6206436
Abstract: In a threaded connector, a box member has at least two tapered, internal, generally dovetail-shaped threads. The internal threads each having stab flanks, load flanks, roots, crests and a wedge ratio and increasing in width in one direction. A pin member has at least two tapered, external, generally dovetail-shaped threads. The external thread has stab flanks, load flanks, roots, crests and a wedge ratio and increases in width in the other direction so that complementary roots and crests of the internal and external threads move into engagement during make-up of the connection in conjunction with the moving of complementary stab and load flanks into engagement upon make-up of the connection. The wedge ratio of one thread is an aggressive wedge ratio with a larger magnitude and the wedge ratio of the another thread is a conservative wedge ratio with a smaller magnitude.
