  • Patent number: 11963807
Abstract: A tethered laparoscopic probe is provided, the tethered laparoscopic probe for deployment through a trocar into a cavity of a subject to detect gamma radiation from a radiopharmaceutical administered to the subject. The laparoscopic probe comprises a probe head shaped for insertion through the trocar and configured to be freely moveable within the cavity. The probe head comprises an elongate casing comprising radiation shielding for inhibiting gamma radiation from passing through the probe head, the radiation shielding having a detection aperture for admitting gamma radiation. The probe head further comprises a gamma radiation detector arranged within the casing, the gamma radiation detector configured to detect gamma radiation through the detection aperture of the casing. The probe head further comprises means for, in use, facilitating the localization of a source of radiation from the radiopharmaceutical within the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20240077950
Abstract: During control of a user interface via free-space motions of a hand or other suitable control object, switching between control modes can be facilitated by tracking the control object's movements relative to, and its penetration of, a virtual control construct (such as a virtual surface construct). The technology disclosed includes determining from the motion information whether a motion of the control object with respect to the virtual control construct is an engagement gesture, such as a virtual mouse click or other control device operation. The position of the virtual control construct can be updated, continuously or from time to time, based on the control object's location.

  • Publication number: 20170344364
Abstract: A method includes loading a data element from at least one memory into at least one internal register. The method also includes converting the data element from a network standardized format to a device native format. The method further includes performing an operation on the data value. The method also includes de-converting the data element from the device native format to the network standardized format. In addition, the method includes storing the data element in the at least one memory.

  • Patent number: 6212678
Abstract: A method and apparatus with carrying out computer operations of push and pop. The series of program sections including an interpretive program or module which interprets intermediate code are constructed to consider a series of registers as all or part of a stack for holding operands. Each program section is arranged and considered a different one of the series of registers to be at the top of the stack. The switching from one program section to another to perform the pushes and pops is performed as a function of the register that is at the top of the stack preferably without normally copying the data into the registers. The series of program sections may be ordered in the same sequence as the sequence of the registers that are considered to be at the top of the stack of the program sections.

  • Patent number: 5029145
Abstract: A novel method of geophysical exploration is provided whereby shot points and receiver locations are positioned such that seismic data resulting therefrom can advantageously be processed employing 3-D processing techniques to obtain a better image of the earth's subsurface structure. In one embodiment, shot points, or alternatively, receiver locations are arranged along generally sawtooth or zig zag lines so that common midpoint bins of seismic signals include a generally uniform distribution of source-receiver pair azimuths. In another embodiment, both the shot points and receiver locations are arrayed along generally alternating, sawtooth or zig zag lines.
